Some people have visions - some people feel things - other people sense something is true as if it was Deja vu. When focused on knowledge it will come to you in ways you will not believe. When I was writing my books I would go to the local library and it was almost like books I needed or pages therein flew into my arms. I had learned to center myself and do Bibliomancy as well as other artts for many moons.

Paul Devereux and Cognitive Archaeology is useful in understanding our past and how our cognitive processes are affected. A Wiccan priestess I dated once dreamed or meditated at a Vortex in Sedona, Arizona. Without drugs she saw the capstones on the Pyramids at Giza as they were long ago. None of the Temple people knew this, I was a member. Graham Hancock went too far into the drugs and started see-ing things that are useful in selling his books, but not very factual. Devereux like Robert Graves before him knew one must test the knowledge which comes via tap-ins to ascertain the facts and adequacy thereof.

"In his essay "The Archaeology of Consciousness" in the Journal of Scientific Exploration, Vol.11, No. 4, Paul Devereux described the potential for retrieving ancient wisdom through the "new" discipline of "cognitive archaeology." As Devereux points out, the concept of cognition is hardly new, and Western Cultures have a clear bias toward the mistaken belief that ancient peoples had powers of cognition which were substantially inferior to modern peoples. It is an Aryan characteristic of modern Western Civilizations to assume that the direction of the evolution of knowledge is positive, and therefore, present knowledge is greater and superior to past knowledge. Devereux, in drawing attention to a path towards understanding of ancient monuments through the unconscious mind, without specifically identifying whether the unconscious mind was ancient or modern, relies on the belief that psychology has proven that this is indeed a good way to communicate with people, living or dead, who do not have the capacity to consciously communicate. Yet, psychology has also proven that repressed memories are a territory of the unconscious mind which contains many pitfalls, suggesting that we should walk carefully in to the ancient mind, or risk the creation of false ancient memories. Cognitive archaeology is an approach that should be pursued, however, there are still many conscious approaches that can be used to reveal what ancient sacred places stood for, and thereby, decipher ancient conscious meanings.

In their books on the Giza complex, Robert Bauval and others have presented an understanding of the Great Pyramids which is based upon direct measurement of material places.2 Bauval and Hancock in Mystery of the Sphinx indicated that they believe that the whole complex of pyramids near Giza is part of a representation of the sky around Orion.3 Established Egyptologists and astronomers have publicly down played the implication of the astronomical meaning behind the pyramid complex.4 These established "scientists" have taken the Western non-sensual approach of denying any hypothesis for which rational material information and measurement processes are not forthcoming. Western Science, like ancient religions, is a very conservative field of study, and changes come after significant pressure and pain on the part of any innovators. It is not uncommon for new science to simply out live the recalcitrant "high priests" who sit on the thrones of the scientific establishment. Paul Devereux's "cognitive archaeology" is a loop hole through, or around, the basic assumption that modern people are cognitively superior to ancient people.

Like ancient shamans,"high priests" in the field of modern scientific cosmology, speak of absurd concepts such as "worm holes" and alternative universes that allow time and space travel to be unconstrained by common sense.5 Such mathematical excursions are essentially modern manifestations of ancient shaman divinations. Cognitive archaeology is precisely the conceptual "worm hole" we need to bypass the recalcitrant "high priests" of modern science and pursue the universe of ancient wisdom on a truly scientific basis, provided we do not give undue importance to the subjective and suggestive aspects of cognition.

To back up this statement consider the "holistic" view, or in Devereux's words, the "chora," of the Great Pyramid. This pyramid was designed by the priests of Egypt approximately 2500 years before Christ. The monument is the most long lasting of all the great monuments of civilization which attest to the fact that some people believed they were adept at communication with the Force that created the cosmos, and the resulting inspiration for life.

Accepting the ancient belief unconsciously, or by dreaming with our eyes open as Devereux explains, we can conjecture that these great monuments were not designed as tombs for Pharaohs, as modern archaeologists would have us believe, but that they were designed in the same spirit as all of the great temples and cathedrals of modern religions. Imagine that these "sacred sites" were constructed to give back a sense of honor for the gift of life. That would be a "common sense" reason for building them, that can be related to modern human behavior. Using this "chora" concept for the Great Pyramid, we do not have to resort to the unconscious mind to understand the monument's "revelation" of truth. If celebration of life was the objective of the monument, then we need to use our conscious sensual perception to establish the process that was being memorialized. We still build great edifices to honor great men and important times, although, today we tend to honor those who died in the process of attempting success, rather than those who achieved success. The Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D. C. being an example.

Practically all significant works of archaeology which uncover ancient sacred sites find that the stars are critical. This is has proven true everywhere in the world. Why were the stars so important that the Ancients would build monuments that utilized celestial orientation in their designs? If we give Devereux's reflection on Plato's concept of chora location and topos location proper relevance, we must assume that both chora and topos place orientation are intended in their designs. The topos place can be derived directly from astronomical orientations, in the way that Bauval and Hancock have presented. These orientations define time and space for the monument. Topos is essentially the material location described by modern science. To establish the chora place of the monument, our cognition needs to be holistic in space and eternal in time. Through an holistic and eternal orientation, we can more fully identify the complete design criteria. This is not a perspective absent of material perception, it is the spirit of the place which has a topos location.

One of the purposes of this essay is to illustrate how topos location and chora location are identified. Chora locations contain specific or individual topos locations, and ultimately there is only one chora location, because it is holistic and eternal. Modern space-time is the topos location which identifies the material behavior of the spirit in the holistic and eternal chora location of all being. Thus, space-time does not exist, since it is only a rationalization of the universal spirit, or an eyes open dream of behavioral phenomena. The spirit of this dream called space-time is the chora location which identifies what the Cosmic Soul is doing. As Devereux explains, the chora can be determined by feelings, and is in fact, all the possible feelings associated with topos. The universe cannot be seen through a microscope or a telescope, yet these instruments provide visual access to the complete creation by conglomeration of each topos location. Similarly, sacred sites provide direct access to a chora location through a topos location and are cherished because they expose the cosmic reality as an holistic and eternal process. Such a chora site was Rostau to Ancient Egypt, which served as a door to the eternal presence of the Creator, Ra, and all the neters of Egyptian mythology.

Proof of this statement is revealed in the intricate details of pyramid construction, and more complete knowledge of how the Ancients saw the heavens.6 Nearly all of the pyramids of Egypt have an "entrance" passage on their north face. This passage typically runs parallel to the north-south meridian and descends at approximately a 26 degree angle. Correlating this celestial causeway to the ancient constellations, this pyramid passageway symbolizes the route ancient souls took in becoming the generations of tomorrow. It projects through the planet toward the top of a triangular asterism known as the Ben-Ben stone, at the place of the "First Occasion." Through celestial correspondence, the descending northern passageway becomes an explicit statement of the obvious fact that everything on Earth came from the celestial vault known as the heavens, a fact which modern scientific cosmologists have taken the trouble to "prove" beyond a shadow of doubt. At Giza, the region of the sky around the north pole never goes below the horizon, and is symbolic of the realm of eternal life, from whence kings and ancestors can return to Earth as spirits reincarnated into the flesh of youth. It may be conjecture that the Ancients visualized the pyramid design in this manner, but the details are too coincident to deny the correspondence to their understanding. All that is required to visualize the messages behind these passageways is a complete set of constellations depicting the Egyptian neters (divine principles - gods) in their proper "topos" locations.7 "

The Prehistoric Worldwide Import of the Great Lakes

This is part of the Table of Contents for my book on the Old Copper Culture surrounding the pure orichalcum or copper of Lake Superior.

CHAPTER ONE: From 'Hell' and Back.

    - The Canadian Encyclopedia says: "The ancestors of the Iroquois can be traced backwards in New York State by archaeological evidence to at least 500 BC. And possibly as far back as 4,000 BC. The distinctive Iroquois culture of the historic period seems to have developed by about 1000 AD." In order to take the Iroquois back to 4000 BC one has to find the Megwi and Adena before them were once people who lived in Poverty Point where Eurasiatic technology existed and tall people thrived in the Keltic mound building tradition.

CHAPTER TWO: Manitou's Mounds and Mississippi Mud.

    - Professor Jesse Jennings wrote what the Smithsonian called 'authoritative' and in its third edition says: "...are all the high cultures of the New World resultant from a diffusion of ideas, customs, artifacts, and religious-social practices of the OLD WORLD?"
    - He also says: "Even more unusual at the two sites was the microflint work. The industry involved the striking of long, prismatic flakes from egg-shaped flint nodules or cores in a manner reminiscent of Eurasiatic Mesolithic industries."

CHAPTER THREE: Guardians of the Iberian Gateway (ST. Lawrence, Hudson).

    - J. V. Wright is one of Canada's top academics and he wrote A History of the Native People's of Canada, Volume I, (10,000 - 1,000 B.C.) and he says: "Historically documented native beliefs in Canada appear to have been quite similar to those of the pre-Christian Celtic, Germanic, and Scandinavian peoples as well as other parts of the world..."
    - He also brings us: "The Allumette-1 and Morrison's Island-6 sites, in addition to other activities, they functioned as manufacturing centres of copper tools."

CHAPTER FOUR: The Great Wall of China Extends to Ohio's 'Giants'.

    - Elizabeth Wayland Barber's The Mummies of Ǘrümchi says: "Linguistically these twins show features lumping them most closely with the 'westernmost' Indo-European languages: Celtic and Italic.... But they are not particularly similar to their nearest geographical neighbors..."

    - Also, she states: "What Professor Mair {University of Pennsylvania} recognized there stunned him. The mummies appeared to be neither Chinese nor Mongoloid in facial type; they looked, in fact, distinctively Caucasian..."

CHAPTER FIVE: Peru Shakes Hands With Poverty Point.

    - "The rise and fall of Celtic sea power has been strangely neglected... Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, most of Book III of Caesar's De Bello Gallico is devoted to the greatest naval battle he was ever called upon to mount.... No less than 220 ships, all larger than and superior in construction to those of the opposing Roman navy under Admiral Brutus." These words from Professor Barraclough Fell set the truth of ancient worldwide travel and trade in motion.
    - He is the champion of many and the outcast of his Harvard 'cronies' and other academics. There is no part of this planet were we will not show the Kelts or 'keltoi'.

    CHAPTER SIX: Memphremagog:

    - The Catholic Encyclopedia says: "Finally, Josephus and others identify Magog with Scythia, but in antiquity this name was used to designate vaguely any northern population." Scythia is central to the birthplace of the Kelts as genetic research shows in 35-30,000 year ago time. 'Phre' is 'fire' from the 'sun' of Druidic or Heliopolitan sun worship which is the original root of Phremasonry according to Thomas Paine.

    - The most telling evidence of European involvement in North America before Christ might be the 'extinct' or should I say 'immortal' North American horse that I think was like a Shetland Pony because there were no horses or artifacts thereof for the previous 5000 years. Here is an archaeologist of note by the name of Quimby, whose report goes most un-noted:

"1954 The Old Copper Assemblage and Extinct Animals. American Antiquity 20: 169-170. Quimby analyses an occurrence of deeply buried copper artifacts and associated animal bones near Fort Williams in southwest Ontario. The discovery, made in 1913 and 1916, was recorded in a geological report. Quimby reasons that the site may date to the Altithermal, approximately 3500-2000 B.C., and that the bones are those of the bison and the extinct native horse."

CHAPTER SEVEN: Copper Making Secrets and Speculations About Crystalline or Stone Age Knowledge.

    - I can show the reason for red ochre on Mungo Man's skeleton (and many other cultures around the world) is possibly connected to the alchemical (shamanic) use of cinnabar. This was adequate payment for the Beothuk who were in the northern Hudson Bay route for copper when the earth had not yet rebounded much from the glaciers retreat before moving with their Keltic family to L'anse Amour around the 6th Millennium B.C.
    - Here is something spiritual about the 'immortal' element of mercury to consider. "Cinnabar will become mercury, and passing through a series of other sublimations, it is again turned into cinnabar, and thus it enables man to enjoy eternal life." This is from J. Bronowski's book and TV documentary produced by the BBC called The Ascent of Man.

CHAPTER EIGHT: Pre-Columbian and Post-Christian Americans from Europe.

    - In Tucson we have on-going digs of irrigation canals and a civilization from 2000 BC but in the 1920s another more recent 'find' was made. It was by the top people in the science and handled in the appropriate manner but met a cover up to equal what happened at Manitoulin Island. Here is a little about this story from Ancient American. "Translation of the combined Latin text told a surprising story: 'In Memoriam Romani Actius: In memory of Romans Actius and Theodore, Consuls of great cities. We are carried forward on the sea (to) Calalus, {The site of present day Ocala in Florida, the name was taken from the Latin name of Porto Cale, Portugal. These Jews now meet the Toltecs and a man from the city of Rhodes - which was a key enduring fortification of the Keltic Phoenicians past the time of Posidonius who thought highly of them.} an unknown land (and) a people ruling wildly (Indians?). Toltezus (and) Silvanus are won over, Theodorus brings his forces from the city, Rhoda. And more than 700 are captured. No gold. They are (or shall be) banished from the city.
    - {The metal tablets decipherment continues.}Theodorus, a man of the greatest valor, rules during 14 years. Iacobus rules during (after Theodorus) six years. God helping it (?) is not to be feared. In the name of Israel, Iacobus born again (in) the city.... Benjamin was king of the people. He came from Seine to Rome, the bravest of the Gauls..." The Benjaminites are central players in the intrigues of New World Order that are throughout history.

CHAPTER NINE: Debunkers and the Flat Earth Fiction.

    - The web brings me the words of Theosophist scholars who add an important observation about the propaganda Rome used to gain ever greater control of this world. Rome as an Empire expanded whenever the people of Rome were dispossessed of booty from the evil wrought by their leaders.
"Jewish scholars had already proved the similarity between the Laws of Moses and the philosophies of Plato, Aristotle and Pythagoras. Christians claimed that Jesus was a unique character, while the entire pagan world knew that the legends surrounding Jesus' life were identical with those of pagan gods. Students of comparative religion recognized their similarity to the traditions of great spiritual Teachers who had preceded Jesus."

CHAPTER TEN: Manitoulin Island and Mooring Stones.

    - "The site's discoverer (Lee) was hounded from his Civil Service position into prolonged unemployment; publication outlets were cut off, the evidence was misrepresented by several prominent authors among the Brahmins; the tons of artifacts vanished into storage bins of the National Museum of Canada; for refusing to fire the discoverer the Director of the National Museum (Dr. Jacques Rousseau), who had proposed having a monograph on the site published, was himself fired and driven into exile; official positions of prestige and power were exercised in an effort to gain control over just six Sheguiandah {They dated it to more than 100,000 years ago.}specimens that had not gone under cover; and the site itself has been turned into a tourist resort." It has actually been built upon by a tourist campsite, just as the Kennewick Man site was covered over and pylons and trees sunk upon it the day before a congressional Bill was to take effect to protect it.
    - Professor Emeritus James Scherz of the University of Wisconsin says: "More likely than not, they were but one of numerous peoples from around the world who were attracted to the copper riches found in the Upper Great Lakes Region of ancient America."

Today's response to another but less aggressive fool.

Well that is one point of view (470,000 years of just dabbing some paint and little else) - and it was not long ago that we were told just 6,000 years ago that was about all we had achieved. In fact I think anyone who buys the cuneiform original language still buys the Bible Narrative and some even say we walked with Dinosaurs then - Canadian PM and his fellow fiend Stockwell Day.

So what I think is current cutting edge - since Homo Habilis's brain size was increased - is 200,000 years ago our Homo sapiens arrived on the scene and was better than Neanderthal because we had speech lobes. Some of us disagree or wonder if speech lobes are all that important. I for one find people talk about crap and do not try disciplined wisdom acquisition - certainly Plato was right when he noted this after seeing how it affected people getting a writing language, after the Phoenicians gave them one about a millennia before him.

Around that time they are finally coming around to what I said forty eight years ago. Interbreeding with Neanderthal meant we Neanderthals got speech lobes, let's say 150,000 most cross breeds had it. The homos who had previously been much smaller and weaker got larger and more like we are now. There were some giants around this time as usually occurs with breeding outside the genus or line. Say eight foot tall, and even nine at times. The issue of Patagonian Land Giants still intrigues me. Same with sasquatch.

The Habilis line or Mungo or Denisovan or others just recently found in Iberia were doing amazing things a million years ago. All the world was their oyster. They learned things few of us know today, their communication was superior to ours - ESP or real sensory perception.. It appears the Dwarves (Hobbit) had the ability to move things via harmonics or sound, whatever they had they were highly prized as few remained in 1300 BCE.

Some people "walked between worlds" as is said by neo-Druids - see Old Gaelic Order thread. Yes, dimensional realities we are just now learning in physics were commonly experienced. Bucky Fuller noted before any of these other hominids up to 7 million years ago (acknowledged, but will go back further when we find more - say 10 million) that they did not need to build non-biodegradable structures. They were with the gods in those other dimensions so they did not need to build their ego and claim to speak for such entities as energy collectives can be perceived as being. They spoke with animals like you see when Crocodile Dundee confronts the Water Buffalo in the movie. See Marshack's work on aborigine 'message sticks' I say are Oghamic - see his le Placard Baton in Iberia - accurate lunar calendar dated about 30,000 years ago.

So we gradually devolved and became the idiots who needed to have people tell us lies and use us as cannon fodder or as sex slaves.

This link really puts the boots to all the Anunnaki and related frauds.

I would like to believe this reported age for the Sphinx is true. I do believe Maspero was on the right track but he had much less proof than we now have. I am certain the Sphinx was not built by people who developed local science in Egypt - there can be an argument made for Nubian pre-flood science, but we need more proof. See threads covering Martin Bernal and Phoenicians. The group holding this conference is not as substantial as it sounds.

"However, one of the most incredible developments in recent years is a study presented at the International Conference of Geoarchaeology and Archaeomineralogy held in Sofia titled: GEOLOGICAL ASPECT OF THE PROBLEM OF DATING THE GREAT EGYPTIAN SPHINX CONSTRUCTION.

According to the authors of the paper, arguments based upon geological studies suggest the enigmatic monument predates everything we know about Ancient Egypt and history. Manichev Vyacheslav I. and Alexander G. Parkhomenko focus on the deteriorated aspect of the body of the Sphinx, leaving aside the erosive features where the Sphinx is located, which had been studied previously by other authors and researchers. Manichev and Parkhomenko firmly believe that the Sphinx had to be submerged for a long time under water and, to support this hypothesis, they point towards existing literature of geological studies of the Giza Plateau.

The study indicates that the Sphinx of Egypt is around 800,000 years old.

This fact raises more question than answers and proves we have very little knowledge about our actual history which has shown to be far more mysterious and surprising than what mainstream scholars suggested. However, this also provides enough data to theorize that preflood civilizations could have well existed in the distant past, before the rise of ancient civilizations like the Olmecs, Maya, Aztecs, Inca, and Ancient Egyptians.

The above-mentioned study raises numerous other questions in regards to our history. Are we looking at evidence that points to the existence of an unknown civilization to history? Is it possible that an advanced ancient civilization inhabited the Giza Plateau in the distant past, before the ‘creation’ of the ancient Egyptian civilization? And if this culture did develop on the shores of today’s River Nile… Is it possible than other advanced civilization developed elsewhere on our planet hundreds of thousands of years ago?"

Stone age man was not more advanced than Neanderthal according to a report in a physics site addressing multipurpose use of tools.

Is Neanderthal not man or human?

"The production of bone tools by Neanderthals is open to debate. For much of the twentieth century, prehistoric experts were reluctant to recognize the ability of this species to incorporate materials like bone into their technological know-how and likewise their ability to master the techniques needed to work bone. However, over the past two decades, many clues indicate the use of hard materials from animals by Neanderthals. "Our discovery is an additional indicator of bone work by Neanderthals and helps put into question the linear view of the evolution of human behaviour," Doyon said.

The tool in question was uncovered in June 2014 during the annual digs at the Grotte du Bison at Arcy-sur-Cure in Burgundy, France. Extremely well preserved, the tool comes from the left femur of an adult reindeer and its age is estimated between 55,000 and 60,000 years ago. Marks observed on it allow us to trace its history. Obtaining bones for the manufacture of tools was not the primary motivation for Neanderthals hunting - above all, they hunted to obtain the rich energy provided by meat and marrow. Evidence of meat butchering and bone fracturing to extract marrow are evident on the tool. Percussion marks suggest the use of the bone fragment for carved sharpening the cutting edges of stone tools. Finally, chipping and a significant polish show the use of the bone as a scraper.

"The presence of this tool at a context where stone tools are abundant suggests an opportunistic choice of the bone fragment and its intentional modification into a tool by Neanderthals," Doyon said. "It was long thought that before Homo sapiens, other species did not have the cognitive ability to produce this type of artefact. This discovery reduces the presumed gap between the two species and prevents us from saying that one was technically superior to the other.""

And if Professor Klein and his cronies have not considered the porpoise (common name dolphin is just one member of and they include the Killer Whale who can communicate with pods on the other side of the world) and it's conceptual and language ability when addressing their theory about humans only having such ability 50,000 years ago - what does that tell you? Then there is Koko the Bonobo gorilla and Kanzai the chimp, see Yerkes Primate Center; and perhaps their family pet which I guess people like John Locke never had to take for a W-A-L-K. Yes, the dog is related to the porpoise. They diverged about 200 Million years ago from a wolf like creature.

What Laboratory Research has Told Us about Dolphin Cognition

Louis M. Herman University of Hawaii and The Dolphin Institute, U.S.A.

Studies of sensory, cognitive, and communicative skills of bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) were carried out over a 34-year period at the Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Laboratory in Honolulu. Findings on sensory skills included fine discrimination of auditory frequency differences and auditory duration, good visual resolution capabilities in water and in air, and sharing of object recognition across the senses of vision and echolocation. Short-term memory for auditory and visual materials was well developed, including memory for lists of items. Concept learning was demonstrated within several paradigms, including discrimination learning sets and matching-tosample. Dolphins understood novel instructions conveyed within artificial gestural or acoustic language systems using “sentences” as long as five words whose interpretation required processing of both the semantic and syntactic features of the languages. Gestural instructions were understood as reliably when conveyed through television images of trainers as when conveyed by live trainers. The words of these languages were understood referentially, including an ability to report whether a referenced object was present or absent in the dolphin’s tank. Both vocal mimicry of novel sounds and behavioral (motor) mimicry of other dolphins and of humans was demonstrated, an extensive and unique dual ability among animals tested, including an understanding of the concept of imitate as well as an understanding of the concept of behavioral synchrony. Behavioral synchrony (two dolphins acting together) was carried out effectively for behaviors directed by a trainer and for selfdirected behaviors. The dolphins understood the referring function of the human pointing gesture {Signing}, possibly as a generalization from the referring function of their echolocation beam. Self-awareness was demonstrated in two domains: the dolphin’s conscious awareness of its own recent behavior, and its conscious awareness of its own body parts when symbolically referenced. This suite of findings attest to the remarkable flexibility and extensibility of dolphin cognition and reveals cognitive competencies that surely aid the dolphin’s effective functioning within its complex social and ecological milieu."

If I were to believe what is taught by Professors like Klein who I will be quoting or linking you up with, I might have to resort to a belief in alien intervention. In fact when I was much younger I defended Von Daniken as a possible truth teller because he had an answer for what actually exists - and academics were still feeding us poop or a close relative thereof.

When man first denied his evolved ancestors - was he becoming Homo stupendous foolus?

When did that occur? I suggest it happened when a few people started to think they could get other people to do their bidding through the use of some early kind of religion around the time these experts say man began to innovate.

They do not acknowledge art from over a half million years ago or the ability to travel by the stars a million years ago to Flores Island and all the places before getting there from their still unproven only human origins site in the cave they are writing about. But of course this does not surprise me - they might not even have heard about Alan Thorne and his use of nuclear or AMS technology to push back the dating of Nanking Man and earlier dates for Mungo Man with his Red Ochre art not far from that Flores Island hominid we have proof existed and which was thought to be a myth. They and their cronies have denied the Berekhat Ram figurine dated to over 300,000 years ago for a very long time. They have no explanation for the flora on Hawaii which genetics proves (yes, plant forensics dating mutations) came from over 1500 miles away - in the Caroline Islands, other than the bird poop theory which is as you can easily see - poop. Botanists do not buy these kinds of plants were in the shit of birds, and they think it highly likely that the Caroline Islanders arrived with outrigger raft technology still evident in Bali's dances and boats of the present. There is a long list of things they deny and proclaim are some kind of fraud, including when many began to use symbols in speech. And speech was not the first use of symbols, hand signing and animal languages were not taught to our fellow creatures by early man.

If you can believe these things written by experts, you are ready to be managed and fed to your racial enemies in wars promoted by priesthoods who use and abuse you in all so many ways. Did Neanderthal get displaced or did we interbreed? Perhaps these people believe what was taught to them when I was going to school and my nephews not long ago were still being encouraged to believe.

"Personal Review: The Dawn of Human Culture by Richard G. Klein Professor Klein and science editor Blake Edgar refer to "innovation" as the key to the great leap forward made by humans about 50,000 years ago. This was the beginning of human culture--the "dawn" as they call it. It wasn't a change in physiology--humans had been anatomically modern for something like 150,000 years. What changed was the wiring in the brain, or the chemistry in the brain or the linkage between the modules in the brain, or, as they express it, there was a "neurological shift"--at any rate, something that would never show up in a fossil.
This is Klein's theory and it is a persuasive one, albeit one that can never be proven--well, probably can never be proven. If under some ice sheet (as the planet continues to warm) we find a 100,000-year-old human intact, perhaps an examination of his or her brain and a comparison with the modern brain will give us the proof. Barring that very unlikely event, there is no way we can see what changed.

But it doesn't matter. Formal proof of Klein's conjecture (and of course, he is hardly the first to present such a theory) is unnecessary. We know from the behavioral changes that took place in something like a twinkling of an eye that humans beginning about 50,000 years ago were suddenly different. They had a culture that developed from the use of what might broadly be called symbolism. We can see this in the petroglyphs and cave art and artifacts that they left. We can also see it in the way they displaced the Neanderthals in Europe and left no trace of Homo erectus elsewhere in the world, and how quickly they spread to the far corners of the planet.

It is easy to see that they must have had symbolic language as well. Indeed, I think language really is the key to what happened, and this is Klein's point as well. The key idea is that "language is almost a kind of sixth sense, since it allows people to supplement their five primary senses with information drawn from the primary senses of others." (p. 146)

Today's mighty culture would be impossible without written language or some means of taking down and recording and maintaining human knowledge. Prior to written language this was done through an oral tradition handed down from one generation to the next. Myths, stories, poetry, ideas, information and methods were memorized and recited. Prior to that however, prior to the use of symbolic language, there would have been only a limited ability to pass ideas down from one generation to the next. It would have been difficult to even share some ideas with a contemporary. But once symbolic language developed, people could demonstrate events and things not present with others through the use of words--that is, symbols standing for the actual objects or events--nouns and verbs.

From a representation symbolically of something seen or something that happened, it was only a step to a representation of something never seen before--such as a net for catching birds or fish or a stampede of wildebeests over a cliff."

So they would have you believe nets did not exist to catch fish, and yet (as mathematics whiz kids like Bucky Fuller knew) when man first navigated by the stars over the horizon he was learning geometry and basic trigonometry. And how did he strap those logs together (did he observes vines which tie logs together for chimpanzees to float upon) when Homo Habilis traveled to Indonesia a million years and more ago? Yes, mankind is VERY stupid if he can read this poop saying we only learned to get wildebeests to become our food by observing what happens in nature. These same academics have been heard or seen writing about the invention of spears and arrows in the same time frame they write about here. Hillemanns (sp) and Bunch or Asimov's Encyclopedias on technology may disagree when these technologies came to be used but I think the monkey using a stick to get at an anthill precedes the spear they write about by a very long time.

The reality of academic ass-kissing the National interests and telling people their current rulers are wise and the best rather than saying we have been developed as a culture far longer than we are told is becoming more evident.

But what really causes me consternation is how many people still support the lies of their religion and history with the passion of zealots - who are willing to go to war and believe their race of humans is best, or maybe simply say "It does not make any difference to me.". The same people tell me they believe in alien intervention all the time, and they insist on many other stupid things even though they have to admit humanity has far longer evidences of great achievements.

I have written about animal languages and tool usage when addressing what is said about human first uses of same for a very long time and I am always proven right. Capuchin monkeys in Brazil have cashew preparation sites with permanent manufactured tools and this report only mentions the human use of tools being extended far further back in time. They are getting close to correct when they finally say why not say humans had tools from the earliest times. Consider what this means to the idea of how we existed as mere scavengers for millions of years - and how stupid we have been to think our ancestors were such undeveloped life forms. Consider how our history has fed us the 10,000 year ideology and that this kind of thinking (Cradle of Culture or such - is really evidence that we had some serious cataclysmic events which happened to drive many people backwards in development. It means we had millions of years to develop technology and build things which as Bucky Fuller said did not need to leave huge non-biodegradable evidence for us to see easily.

"Stone toolmaking has been considered one of the defining characteristics of members of the genus Homo, but this year it was announced that newly discovered tools predate the first known humans. A research team led by Sonia Harmand and Jason Lewis of the Turkana Basin Institute at Stony Brook University found the tools at a site called Lomekwi 3 in Kenya. They are believed to be 3.3 million years old, predating Homo habilis—the first known member of the genus Homo—by about 700,000 years. A group of fossils roughly contemporaneous with the tools was discovered nearby in 1999 and dubbed Kenyanthropus platyops, a small-brained hominin that seemed unlikely to have used tools—until now. Harmand believes that stones were just one part of the early hominin toolkit and says, “Why not think that our ancestors from the beginning were using many, many tools?”"
