Cultural Marxism and Critical Theory
Jeremy Bentham wrote this kind of thing in the 18th and 19th Century.
"The RICH Economy
by Robert Anton Wilson
from The Illuminati Papers
If there is one proposition which currently wins the assent of nearly everybody, it is that we need more jobs. "A cure for unemployment" is promised, or earnestly sought, by every Heavy Thinker from Jimmy Carter to the Communist Party USA, from Ronald Reagan to the head of the economics department at the local university, from the Birchers to the New Left.
I would like to challenge that idea. I don't think there is, or ever again can be, a cure for unemployment. I propose that unemployment is not a disease, but the natural, healthy functioning of an advanced technological society.
The inevitable direction of any technology, and of any rational species such as Homo sap., is toward what Buckminster Fuller calls ephemeralization, or doing-more-with-less. For instance, a modern computer does more (handles more bits of information) with less hardware than the proto-computers of the late '40's and '50's. One worker with a modern teletype machine does more in an hour than a thousand medieval monks painstakingly copying scrolls for a century. Atomic fission does more with a cubic centimeter of matter than all the engineers of the 19th Century could do with a million tons, and fusion does even more.
Unemployment is not a disease; so it has no "cure."
This tendency toward ephemeralization or doing more-with-less is based on two principal factors, viz:
1.The increment-of-association, a term coined by engineer C.H. Douglas, a meaning simply that when we combine our efforts we can do more than the sum of what each of us could do seperately. Five people acting synergetically together can lift a small modern car, but if each of the five tries separately, the car will not budge. As society evolved from tiny bands, to larger tribes, to federations of tribes, to city-states, to nations, to multinational alliances, the increment-of-association increased exponentially. A stone-age hunting band could not build the Parthenon; a Renaissance city-state could not put Neil Armstrong on the Moon. When the increment-of-association increases, through larger social units, doing-more-with-less becomes increasingly possible.
2.Knowledge itself is inherently self-augmenting. Every discovery "suggests" further discoveries; every innovation provokes further innovations. This can be seen concretely, in the records of the U.S. Patent Office, where you will find more patents granted every year than were granted the year before, in a rising curve that seems to be headed toward infinity. If Inventor A can make a Whatsit out of 20 moving parts, Inventor B will come along and build a Whatsit out of 10 moving parts. If the technology of 1900 can get 100 ergs out of a Whatchamacallum, the technology of 1950 can get 1,000 ergs. Again, the tendency is always toward doing-more-with-less.
Unemployment is directly caused by this technological capacity to do more-with-less. Thousands of monks were technologically unemployed by Gutenberg. Thousands of blacksmiths were technologically unemployed by Ford's Model T. Each device that does-more-with-less makes human labor that much less necessary.
Aristotle said that slavery could only be abolished when machines were built that could operate themselves. Working for wages, the modern equivalent of slavery -- very accurately called "wage slavery" by social critics -- is in the process of being abolished by just such self-programming machines. In fact, Norbert Wiener, one of the creators of cybernetics, foresaw this as early as 1947 and warned that we would have massive unemployment once the computer revolution really got moving."
One of the things Chris Langan (the smartest man in the world) is promoting aligns with the social justice and feminism of Critical Theory and which the Hegelian Dialectical forces of social engineering are calling Cultural Marxism. He would like genetics to weed out bad medical and social outcomes which cost a woman all manner of pain (financial as well as emotional) unnecessarily. It is not eugenics as the boob from onemansblog asserts.
I would go far further and insist on parents having taken multiple courses on parenting approaches. I would want existing families to address the Cycle of Violence so rampant in our many varied cultures. That would require a proactive Rainbow Coalition such as Jesse Jackson once promoted but it would have to be implemented with some haste due to burgeoning technological opportunities to implant new mind controls. The chances of a political person saying you have no right to force society to pay for your kids to be wild and crazy deviates like you are - is nil.
But I can imagine a politician saying what George McGovern started to say - we need a society where people get a guarantee of security and basic wealth through a guaranteed minimum income or negative tax plan. We need to decrease government and managing people in prisons and on welfare or having tax corruption in the IRS and on Wall Street. J. K. Galbraith was a great economist who documented how society would improve it's GDP with fewer man hours of wasted work, The Club of Rome experts and Bucky Fuller knew these things our new technologies will allow - long ago.
Contrary to what Robert Anton Wilson says about employment and the lack thereof we have many people buying into an attack upon Critical Theory and actual planning for a future with robots doing menial tasks and the resultant improved productivity and wealth.
We get a result which is exactly what these attackers say they do not want when we do not insist upon thinking through a plan to stop runaway religions and attack feminism (thus support Makow and misogyny) or social justice. We get ignorance or dumbocracy!
In Canada we had many attempts to implement the ideas of C. H. Douglas in politics. It was called the Social Credit Party and won a lot of power. In Brian Mulroney's third bid for election (While ripping off millions - later admitted) he tried a watered down minimum income. In the US Steve Forbes has promoted a flat tax which would cut billions of dollars off the IRS payrolls as well as many other bureaucracies. I say it could tie in with social programs that encourage personal growth and mutual instruction education or caring. Those who do nothing positive (which they like - even writing poetry) will get a different kind of program.

The extent to which boogeymen control the minds of people includes the racist agenda and misogynists claiming "The debil made em do it!" Such abject stupidity does this world about as much good as the 72 virgins dogma, but those who sell it are doing box office business in book sales it seems. Throw in some ambiguous words including Zionist and Jew (There is no such race and it is Aryan politics or religion; it is all white people if you actually study things like Genetics.) Masonry, Communism (Never existed in a nation), Satan and Cabals - POOF you get the Catholic (or Romano-Brutish if you know history) Empire agenda seen in promoting Timothy Mathews' book below.
"The Frankfurt School were a group of Marxist Jewish intellectuals at Frankfurt University in the 1920-1930's. (They emigrated to NYC after Hitler came to power.) They included Max Horkheimer, Theodor W. Adorno, Herbert Marcuse & Erich Fromm, and were responsible for the "New Left" and feminism. Financed by Jewish millionaire Felix Weill, they were instrumental in the degradation of Western society according to the long-term cabalist Jewish (Satanist) plan. The connection between Communism and Judaism is the Cabala, i.e. Freemasonry.
The Communist Jewish thinkers described in Timothy Mathew's "The Frankfurt School: Conspiracy to Corrupt" (Catholic Insight, March 2009) are largely responsible for the degradation of modern Western culture. This is irrefutable proof that we have been inducted into a satanic cult whose aim is to pervert, enslave and exploit humanity."

There is nothing "irrefutable" or "proof" in running some half-baked old Aryan ideas founded on flawed academics and the Houston Stewart Chamberlain school of thinking - it is obviously exactly what it is - Rabble-rousing racism. But if he used the Halakah as an argument he would have some basis to make us concerned about our bent or hype on Holocaust history. That is OK and we all should look further into other genocides and get Hollywood to do movies about those genocides in whatever century you choose to mention.
Did you know the Black Plague was intentionally ramped out to kill hundreds of millions of people when the whole of the world's population was not much more than single digit hundreds of millions? Yes, I have proof of this over a century in the Americas and confessions from the likes of Winston Churchill about the Flagellant crusade against ghetto dwellers. He also was culpable in his term as Colonial Secretary over Mesopotamia.

Discussing the above with my older brother.
Yes, that is one way to say it.
As long as problems can be solved for “overall benefit” there is “work” waiting to be done.
A lot of “beneficial work” needs to be done to create “jobs/employment”.
Some “job creation” does not produce “overall benefit”.}
But the transition to a Star Trek type of government will have a lot of people feeling bad about not being employed as they have been taught is important.
Because these things have been well known in intellectual circles for over a century and we still have talking heads and education systems working the Industrial Revolution rag, I see little hope.
I have been attacked and abused by Holocaust deniers and racists for the thoughts expressed here. The extent of the ignorance on the web is amazing even to a hardened veteran of this idiocy - like me.
Here is my reply to one this morning.
You do not know what a Jew is. The people who are able and who work to build fortunes do seem to have those fortunes over long eras of time. I study them and have more FACTS than any person out there - Jim Marrs (no great human or humanist) acknowledged this and found additional proofs - we shared research. He writes appeals to ignorance because it makes money. The ignorant who buy his, Makow's, or Icke and many who you think have some idea about what they talk about, are all deranged , deluded or brainwashed. Some are like Fritz Springmeier, Tom Horn, Chick and mere pulpit-pounders and then there are long winded truly devious and massively deceptive efforts like the Gospels. There are denominations who accept no Bible other than the KJV crap -also known as the Bacon Bible. Now if you can support KJ who was a major murdering fool with fears of all manner who killed eight scribes who would not write what he wanted - does that make you a Christian? Does it make him G-d?
My research and voice has been effective in pealing back the lies of Empire - and many or even most worldwide scholars now are saying the whole Gospel was a lie - to blame your Jews. You can choose to learn or you can choose to continue to support lies and racism, hatred and women-hating. But the facts are simple and now available.
Your semantics and word play about New Age or how you KNOW something are now exposed too. Others who say similar things and somehow are women (who have suffered even more than those you think are Jews) or think they are Christians are also exposed - and have no excuse for their hatred and myopia.
But when you say there is no evidence for a Holocaust YOU are worse than ignorant - far worse! If you were to say there are worse genocides and the hype about the Holocaust is way overdone - that would be true.
The use and abuse of words and the parsing of them allows politicians and their handlers all lengths of imprudence and impudent near criminality. The Rule of Complementarity in Quantum Physics says the opposite of a great truth is also true according to Nils Bohr. I have found it even holds true when evaluating Bible passages and it often does not include what he says about a menial truth having a truth which is simply false when I consider far more spiritual concepts. Pretty soon we will have the word or concept being used by the likes of Donald Trump I fear. But it does provide humour as I recall Bill Clinton parsing sex and the cigar analogy.
For a person who has read and had a Joy of Learning throughout a long fruitful life, it is almost painful to witness the plight of those who accept slogans and prejudices from the devious designs of priestly manipulators and other social engineers including mass media "appeals to base human urges" such as Machiavelli advised in Il Principe. You can see it in the case of people who think because a certain school taught a course on Critical Thinking that this means that school originated or promoted the whole genre which Socrates and others he learned from had know twenty three hundred years ago, maybe with even less intrusions of me-too thinking.
This website has a lot of great content.
There is no way a little Frankfort cadre of socialist professors could turn the tide against American Eugenics supporters like the Bush and Kennedy crowd, and this article does not delve into many more proofs I have.

Reason: add content
According to the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy we saw the Frankfurt School had to move to New York due to the Nazis. It no longer is focused on what it was then and is in the fourth generation of it's influence through the continued efforts to provide a Critical thought process to social issues.
In order to explain the cultural aspects of what Gurdjieff and his Russian confreres like Thomas de Hartmann experienced in places like Munich during the rise of Hitler we need strong stomachs and equally strong chronovisors to see the past as it was. The unifying possibilities of quantum physics had just started to be understood in the works of Heisenberg and Bohr. The linguists were indeed seeing some historical connections which seemed to mirror ancient Norse or Wagnerian myths. An article addressing some of this in reference to Kandinsky might help us see past one school of thought or one university like the Frankfurt School and understand how Critical Theory and thinking makes sense to have survived so well. I think Jerry Cullum describes a starting point to understanding the mere idea of what became THE Final Solution and I think in-depth analysis of his whole article will describe why Wiligut and Himmler dug a very deep hole in search for the Hollow Earth; or other searches went forth looking for the 'cosmic ice' Professor Horbiger adopted from Aristotle.
"Julie Mehretu, Matthew Ritchie, and Carroll Dunham are among the artists who have taken an interest in Kandinsky’s belief in a synthesis of art, science, and culture in the anthropological sense of the word (i.e., the overall conceptual assumptions underlying what sociology calls “society”). None of them have imitated Kandinsky’s visual approaches (there is an entire body of American painting from the 1930s and 1940s that openly draws its inspiration from Kandinsky’s composition and palette, but that is a separate, obscurely historic topic).
What irrefutably separates these artists from Kandinsky is the level of optimism that accompanied his quest for a scientific basis for art. When he wrote in Concerning the Spiritual in Art that “When we remember that spiritual experience is quickening, that positive science, the firmest basis of human thought, is tottering, that dissolution of matter is imminent, we have hope that the hour of pure composition is not far away,” he meant that everything in the sciences tended towards the destruction of the bases on which the nineteenth century formed its arrogant certitudes: physics was discovering the basis in immaterial-seeming energy of a material world that was itself only an instance of fugitive moments of forms of energies consolidating (we might remember here that Kandinsky’s Russian Orthodox faith was based on the notion that matter itself is sustained by the “divine energies”); in the investigations of the new psychology, the mind was proving to be full of immaterial-seeming energies that belied the assumption that its underpinnings were open to the simple deductions of logical reasoning; and the cultural basis of world civilizations, plural, was turning out to be open to an investigation that assumed the value of European accomplishments but did not thereby devalue the discoveries of cultures that Europe found alien. Surely, given these developments undercutting belief in a unilateral progress towards an affirmation of a materialist rationality as the highest accomplishment of human evolution, the expectation of a Great Utopia was not intrinsically unreasonable.
None of these lines of thought turned out as expected. The underpinnings of culture turned out to be undecidable; is culture an arbitrary construct, or is it intrinsically itself constructed by a biologically grounded individual psychology that leads human beings to make the same mistakes over and over again, no matter how hard they try to impose a logical order on a collective behavior that is grounded in instincts instilled by genetic structure? Is there any way of deciding whether mathematics is the inbuilt order of the entire material universe, or itself only a complicated human construct that gives us useful clues as to how to manipulate the universe’s structure, thus giving rise to technology? Is there such a fundamental disjuncture between the underlying structure of nature and the underlying structure of culture that there is no underlying unity between the two, or does nature trump culture every time, even if culture is transforming nature at such an unparalleled rate that culture can’t quite predict what nature is going to do to it?
In other words, the culturally created artifice of civilization, and the biological basis of human behavior, and the processes of the natural world have all turned out to be more unpredictably related than seemed to be the case in the early twentieth century. That there is an underlying unifying order seems indisputable; the dispute is over the question of what that unifying order is, and whether human beings are fundamentally incapable of knowing it even when they think they know all there is to know about it. Are we a self-deceptive species that is very, very good at thinking that the positive effects of imaginary solutions to real problems demonstrate that the solutions themselves must be real?
That’s the kind of thing that artists in search of a Gesamtkunstwerk grapple with these days, and none of these questions instill a sense of confidence in the possibility of final solutions beyond the grim types of alteration of the course of history with which those words are now inextricably associated. We can change the world, but the extent to which we can explain it remains in doubt."
