    Pseudepigrapha and Apocrypha

Is it 'strange' that we found a Leather Scroll of Abraham which when we developed dating technology was proven to be a fraud?

Is it strange to find Zion (A homeland for the Rothschild plan - Lord Balfour was bought and paid for.) being promoted by a Baruch who a later person of that name was a prime mover and shaker in WWII, which made him an estimated $200,000,000 not including any under the table ownership in his extended family equities.

Is it 'strange' that any decent books of the Bible get edited and Deuteronomy remains - it is a pornographic and hateful or racist document.

Is it 'strange' that epigraphy like hermetics (hermeneutics) gets dovetailed or appropriated into Bible study?

    from Pseudepigrapha Website

Translation from the Syriac by R. H. Charles

The Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament in English
    (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1913) 2: 481-524

1—4. Announcement of the coming Destruction of Jerusalem to Baruch

1 1 And it came to pass in the twenty-fifth year of Jeconiah, king of Judah, that the word of the Lord came to Baruch, the son of Neriah, and said to him:
2 ’Have you seen all that this people are doing to Me, that the evils which these two tribes which remained have done are greater than (those of) the ten tribes which were carried away captive?
3 For the former tribes were forced by their kings to commit sin, but these two of themselves have been forcing and compelling their kings to commit sin.
4 For this reason, behold I bring evil upon this city, and upon its inhabitants, and it shall be removed from before Me for a time, and I will scatter this people among the Gentiles that they may do good to the Gentiles. And My people shall be chastened, and the time shall come when they will seek for the prosperity of their times.

2 1 For I have said these things to you that you may bid Jeremiah, and all those that are like you, to retire from this city.

2 For your works are to this city as a firm pillar,

And your prayers as a strong wall.’

3 1 And I said: ’O LORD, my Lord, have I come into the world for this purpose that I might see the evils of my mother? Not (so) my Lord. 2 If I have found grace in Your sight, first take my spirit that I may go to my fathers and not behold the destruction of my mother. For two things vehemently constrain me: for I cannot resist you, and my soul, moreover, cannot behold the evils of my mother. 4 But one thing I will say in Your presence, O Lord. 5 What, therefore, will there be after these things? for if you destroy Your city, and deliver up Your land to those that hate us, how shall the name of Israel be again remembered? 6 Or how shall one speak of Your praises? or to whom shall that which is in Your law be explained? Or shall the world return to its nature of aforetime), and the age revert to primeval silence? And shall the multitude of souls be taken away, and the nature of man not again be named? And where is all that which you did say regarding us?’

4 1 And the Lord said unto me:

’This city shall be delivered up for a time,

And the people shall be chastened during a time,

And the world will not be given over to oblivion.

    4:2-7. The heavenly Jerusalem

2 [Dost you think that this is that city of which I said: "On the palms of My hands have I graven you"? 3 This building now built in your midst is not that which is revealed with Me, that which prepared beforehand here from the time when I took counsel to make Paradise, and showed Adam before he sinned, but when he transgressed the commandment it was removed from him, as also Paradise. 4 And after these things I showed it to My servant Abraham by night among the portions of the victims. 5 And again also I showed it to Moses on Mount Sinai when I showed to the likeness of the tabernacle and all its vessels. 6 And now, behold, it is preserved with Me, as Paradise. 7 Go, therefore, and do as I command you.’]

    5. Baruch’s Complaint and God’s Reassurance

    5 1 And I answered and said:

’So then I am destined to grieve for Zion,

For your enemies will come to this place and pollute Your sanctuary,

And lead your inheritance into captivity,

And make themselves masters of those whom you have loved,

And they will depart again to the place of their idols,

    And will boast before them:

And what will you do for Your great name?’

2 And the Lord said unto me:

    ’My name and My glory are unto all eternity;

And My judgment shall maintain its right in its own time.

3 And you shall see with your eyes

That the enemy will not overthrow Zion,

    Nor shall they burn Jerusalem,

But be the ministers of the Judge for the time.

4 But do you go and do whatsoever I have said unto you

5 And I went and took Jeremiah, and Adu, and Seriah, and Jabish, and Gedaliah, and all the honorable men of the people, and I led them to the valley of Kidron, and I narrated to them all that had been said to me. 6 And they lifted up their voice, and they all wept. 7 And we sat there and fasted until the evening.

6—8. Invasion of the Chaldeans and their Entrance into the City after the Sacred Vessels were hidden and the City’s Walls overthrown by angels."

Which Diaspora myth do we want to believe in? How about one where all these myths are outlawed and made illegal to foment? Does it cross your mind that this g-d talks to the people who made him and get to threaten you with all the time? Here are so more links I will consider in this thread.

Perhaps I should create a separate thread for the Didache or Teachings of the Apostles. It is one heck of a marketing tool!

    I read it this way.

DO NOT learn the majik we use against you!

DO NOT have fun or sex of any kind but specifically we mention things that you will do so we can make you feel bad once you do them. However we encourage you to take 'the vine of David' WE gave you and drink it until you are stupid enough to give us more money or free labor.

Make sure you treat all people who do not like money, but come amongst you selling this crap, with utmost respect and care for them by giving them that which they apparently do not care to have. If you want something you act like Brier Rabbit, but do not learn this technique or listen to any other sources of knowledge - they are ALL evil!.

Following the principles of their creed gets you an afterlife of more of the same, but you will be safe because this god you will now believe can wreck havoc on you, will not do you any harm as long as YOU do what we say, and do not notice we never do what we say.

    "The Didache

"The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles" (Late first century)

Chapter 1. The Two Ways and the First Commandment.

There are two ways, one of life and one of death, but a great difference between the two ways. The way of life, then, is this: First, you shall love God who made you; second, love your neighbor as yourself, and do not do to another what you would not want done to you. And of these sayings the teaching is this: Bless those who curse you, and pray for your enemies, and fast for those who persecute you. For what reward is there for loving those who love you? Do not the Gentiles do the same? But love those who hate you, and you shall not have an enemy. Abstain from fleshly and worldly lusts. If someone strikes your right cheek, turn to him the other also, and you shall be perfect. If someone impresses you for one mile, go with him two. If someone takes your cloak, give him also your coat. If someone takes from you what is yours, ask it not back, for indeed you are not able. Give to every one who asks you, and ask it not back; for the Father wills that to all should be given of our own blessings (free gifts). Happy is he who gives according to the commandment, for he is guiltless. Woe to him who receives; for if one receives who has need, he is guiltless; but he who receives not having need shall pay the penalty, why he received and for what. And coming into confinement, he shall be examined concerning the things which he has done, and he shall not escape from there until he pays back the last penny. And also concerning this, it has been said, Let your alms sweat in your hands, until you know to whom you should give.

Chapter 2. The Second Commandment: Grave Sin Forbidden.

And the second commandment of the Teaching; You shall not commit murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not commit pederasty, you shall not commit fornication, you shall not steal, you shall not practice magic, you shall not practice witchcraft, you shall not murder a child by abortion nor kill that which is born. You shall not covet the things of your neighbor, you shall not swear, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not speak evil, you shall bear no grudge. You shall not be double-minded nor double-tongued, for to be double-tongued is a snare of death. Your speech shall not be false, nor empty, but fulfilled by deed. You shall not be covetous, nor rapacious, nor a hypocrite, nor evil disposed, nor haughty. You shall not take evil counsel against your neighbor. You shall not hate any man; but some you shall reprove, and concerning some you shall pray, and some you shall love more than your own life.

    Chapter 3. Other Sins Forbidden.

My child, flee from every evil thing, and from every likeness of it. Be not prone to anger, for anger leads to murder. Be neither jealous, nor quarrelsome, nor of hot temper, for out of all these murders are engendered. My child, be not a lustful one. for lust leads to fornication. Be neither a filthy talker, nor of lofty eye, for out of all these adulteries are engendered. My child, be not an observer of omens, since it leads to idolatry. Be neither an enchanter, nor an astrologer, nor a purifier, nor be willing to took at these things, for out of all these idolatry is engendered. My child, be not a liar, since a lie leads to theft. Be neither money-loving, nor vainglorious, for out of all these thefts are engendered. My child, be not a murmurer, since it leads the way to blasphemy. Be neither self-willed nor evil-minded, for out of all these blasphemies are engendered.

Rather, be meek, since the meek shall inherit the earth. Be long-suffering and pitiful and guileless and gentle and good and always trembling at the words which you have heard. You shall not exalt yourself, nor give over-confidence to your soul. Your soul shall not be joined with lofty ones, but with just and lowly ones shall it have its intercourse. Accept whatever happens to you as good, knowing that apart from God nothing comes to pass.

    Chapter 4. Various Precepts.

My child, remember night and day him who speaks the word of God to you, and honor him as you do the Lord. For wherever the lordly rule is uttered, there is the Lord. And seek out day by day the faces of the saints, in order that you may rest upon their words. Do not long for division, but rather bring those who contend to peace. Judge righteously, and do not respect persons in reproving for transgressions. You shall not be undecided whether or not it shall be. Be not a stretcher forth of the hands to receive and a drawer of them back to give. If you have anything, through your hands you shall give ransom for your sins. Do not hesitate to give, nor complain when you give; for you shall know who is the good repayer of the hire. Do not turn away from him who is in want; rather, share all things with your brother, and do not say that they are your own. For if you are partakers in that which is immortal, how much more in things which are mortal? Do not remove your hand from your son or daughter; rather, teach them the fear of God from their youth. Do not enjoin anything in your bitterness upon your bondman or maidservant, who hope in the same God, lest ever they shall fear not God who is over both; for he comes not to call according to the outward appearance, but to them whom the Spirit has prepared. And you bondmen shall be subject to your masters as to a type of God, in modesty and fear. You shall hate all hypocrisy and everything which is not pleasing to the Lord. Do not in any way forsake the commandments of the Lord; but keep what you have received, neither adding thereto nor taking away therefrom. In the church you shall acknowledge your transgressions, and you shall not come near for your prayer with an evil conscience. This is the way of life.

Chapter 5. The Way of Death.

And the way of death is this: First of all it is evil and accursed: murders, adultery, lust, fornication, thefts, idolatries, magic arts, witchcrafts, rape, false witness, hypocrisy, double-heartedness, deceit, haughtiness, depravity, self-will, greediness, filthy talking, jealousy, over-confidence, loftiness, boastfulness; persecutors of the good, hating truth, loving a lie, not knowing a reward for righteousness, not cleaving to good nor to righteous judgment, watching not for that which is good, but for that which is evil; from whom meekness and endurance are far, loving vanities, pursuing revenge, not pitying a poor man, not laboring for the afflicted, not knowing Him Who made them, murderers of children, destroyers of the handiwork of God, turning away from him who is in want, afflicting him who is distressed, advocates of the rich, lawless judges of the poor, utter sinners. Be delivered, children, from all these.

Chapter 6. Against False Teachers, and Food Offered to Idols.

See that no one causes you to err from this way of the Teaching, since apart from God it teaches you. For if you are able to bear the entire yoke of the Lord, you will be perfect; but if you are not able to do this, do what you are able. And concerning food, bear what you are able; but against that which is sacrificed to idols be exceedingly careful; for it is the service of dead gods.

    Chapter 7. Concerning Baptism.

And concerning baptism, baptize this way: Having first said all these things, baptize into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in living water. But if you have no living water, baptize into other water; and if you cannot do so in cold water, do so in warm. But if you have neither, pour out water three times upon the head into the name of Father and Son and Holy Spirit. But before the baptism let the baptizer fast, and the baptized, and whoever else can; but you shall order the baptized to fast one or two days before.

Chapter 8. Fasting and Prayer (the Lord's Prayer).

But let not your fasts be with the hypocrites, for they fast on the second and fifth day of the week. Rather, fast on the fourth day and the Preparation (Friday). Do not pray like the hypocrites, but rather as the Lord commanded in His Gospel, like this:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily (needful) bread, and forgive us our debt as we also forgive our debtors. And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one (or, evil); for Thine is the power and the glory for ever.

Pray this three times each day.

continuing to spread this vile fear-mongering and utterly horrid BELIEF!

    "Chapter 9. The Eucharist.

Now concerning the Eucharist, give thanks this way. First, concerning the cup:

We thank thee, our Father, for the holy vine of David Thy servant, which You madest known to us through Jesus Thy Servant; to Thee be the glory for ever.

    And concerning the broken bread:

We thank Thee, our Father, for the life and knowledge which You madest known to us through Jesus Thy Servant; to Thee be the glory for ever. Even as this broken bread was scattered over the hills, and was gathered together and became one, so let Thy Church be gathered together from the ends of the earth into Thy kingdom; for Thine is the glory and the power through Jesus Christ for ever.

But let no one eat or drink of your Eucharist, unless they have been baptized into the name of the Lord; for concerning this also the Lord has said, "Give not that which is holy to the dogs."

    Chapter 10. Prayer after Communion.

But after you are filled, give thanks this way:

We thank Thee, holy Father, for Thy holy name which You didst cause to tabernacle in our hearts, and for the knowledge and faith and immortality, which You modest known to us through Jesus Thy Servant; to Thee be the glory for ever. Thou, Master almighty, didst create all things for Thy name's sake; Thou gavest food and drink to men for enjoyment, that they might give thanks to Thee; but to us You didst freely give spiritual food and drink and life eternal through Thy Servant. Before all things we thank Thee that You are mighty; to Thee be the glory for ever. Remember, Lord, Thy Church, to deliver it from all evil and to make it perfect in Thy love, and gather it from the four winds, sanctified for Thy kingdom which Thou have prepared for it; for Thine is the power and the glory for ever. Let grace come, and let this world pass away. Hosanna to the God of David! If any one is holy, let him come; if any one is not so, let him repent. Maranatha. Amen.

But permit the prophets to make thanksgiving as much as they desire.

Chapter 11. Concerning Teachers, Apostles, and Prophets.

Whosoever, therefore, comes and teaches you all these things that have been said before, receive him. But if the teacher himself turns and teaches another doctrine to the destruction of this, hear him not. But if he teaches so as to increase righteousness and the knowledge of the Lord, receive him as the Lord. But concerning the apostles and prophets, act according to the decree of the Gospel. Let every apostle who comes to you be received as the Lord. But he shall not remain more than one day; or two days, if there's a need. But if he remains three days, he is a false prophet. And when the apostle goes away, let him take nothing but bread until he lodges. If he asks for money, he is a false prophet. And every prophet who speaks in the Spirit you shall neither try nor judge; for every sin shall be forgiven, but this sin shall not be forgiven. But not every one who speaks in the Spirit is a prophet; but only if he holds the ways of the Lord. Therefore from their ways shall the false prophet and the prophet be known. And every prophet who orders a meal in the Spirit does not eat it, unless he is indeed a false prophet. And every prophet who teaches the truth, but does not do what he teaches, is a false prophet. And every prophet, proved true, working unto the mystery of the Church in the world, yet not teaching others to do what he himself does, shall not be judged among you, for with God he has his judgment; for so did also the ancient prophets. But whoever says in the Spirit, Give me money, or something else, you shall not listen to him. But if he tells you to give for others' sake who are in need, let no one judge him.

    Chapter 12. Reception of Christians.

But receive everyone who comes in the name of the Lord, and prove and know him afterward; for you shall have understanding right and left. If he who comes is a wayfarer, assist him as far as you are able; but he shall not remain with you more than two or three days, if need be. But if he wants to stay with you, and is an artisan, let him work and eat. But if he has no trade, according to your understanding, see to it that, as a Christian, he shall not live with you idle. But if he wills not to do, he is a Christ-monger. Watch that you keep away from such.

    Chapter 13. Support of Prophets.

But every true prophet who wants to live among you is worthy of his support. So also a true teacher is himself worthy, as the workman, of his support. Every first-fruit, therefore, of the products of wine-press and threshing-floor, of oxen and of sheep, you shall take and give to the prophets, for they are your high priests. But if you have no prophet, give it to the poor. If you make a batch of dough, take the first-fruit and give according to the commandment. So also when you open a jar of wine or of oil, take the first-fruit and give it to the prophets; and of money (silver) and clothing and every possession, take the first-fruit, as it may seem good to you, and give according to the commandment.

Chapter 14. Christian Assembly on the Lord's Day.

But every Lord's day gather yourselves together, and break bread, and give thanksgiving after having confessed your transgressions, that your sacrifice may be pure. But let no one who is at odds with his fellow come together with you, until they be reconciled, that your sacrifice may not be profaned. For this is that which was spoken by the Lord: "In every place and time offer to me a pure sacrifice; for I am a great King, says the Lord, and my name is wonderful among the nations."

Chapter 15. Bishops and Deacons; Christian Reproof.

Appoint, therefore, for yourselves, bishops and deacons worthy of the Lord, men meek, and not lovers of money, and truthful and proved; for they also render to you the service of prophets and teachers. Therefore do not despise them, for they are your honored ones, together with the prophets and teachers. And reprove one another, not in anger, but in peace, as you have it in the Gospel. But to anyone that acts amiss against another, let no one speak, nor let him hear anything from you until he repents. But your prayers and alms and all your deeds so do, as you have it in the Gospel of our Lord.

Chapter 16. Watchfulness; the Coming of the Lord.

Watch for your life's sake. Let not your lamps be quenched, nor your loins unloosed; but be ready, for you know not the hour in which our Lord will come. But come together often, seeking the things which are befitting to your souls: for the whole time of your faith will not profit you, if you are not made perfect in the last time. For in the last days false prophets and corrupters shall be multiplied, and the sheep shall be turned into wolves, and love shall be turned into hate; for when lawlessness increases, they shall hate and persecute and betray one another, and then shall appear the world-deceiver as Son of God, and shall do signs and wonders, and the earth shall be delivered into his hands, and he shall do iniquitous things which have never yet come to pass since the beginning. Then shall the creation of men come into the fire of trial, and many shall be made to stumble and shall perish; but those who endure in their faith shall be saved from under the curse itself. And then shall appear the signs of the truth: first, the sign of an outspreading in heaven, then the sign of the sound of the trumpet. And third, the resurrection of the dead -- yet not of all, but as it is said: "The Lord shall come and all His saints with Him." Then shall the world see the Lord coming upon the clouds of heaven."

The first of the three links I said I would address is just a commentary on a political abuser of the 'cloak of Christianity' and with a name including Cain we would expect this, would we not? But they ask an important question which I will answer - though not in the manner they would like.

"Has the campaign devolved into this? Where race baiting, fear mongering, and out right calls to hatred have led to this? This is why Christians should not be associated with politics, using the Church as a cloak for a political viewpoint or support of a candidate.

Should not Christians on both sides now quietly seek a place for prayer for the candidates and our country?"

Yes, all political campaigns in places where religion is available will use the religion most in favor (and will also reach out to agree with those not in favor if they get the chance to not be perceived as a double-talking sack of you know what).

I ask the poor soul who has written this question (Probably a pulpit-pounder) to look in his Bible and start finding all the places where racism, hatred, apocalyptic fear-mongering and other vile precepts are evident and plentiful, to start telling some truth. Rather than asking his faithful to pray while he preys on them, to go forth and make a call for an end to tax free churches.

The third link in the first post - is a doozy addressing fears of all sorts and ignorance including stories of the Illuminati who are often groups founded by Popes and Catholic ecclesiasts including Jesuits, and Benedictines. But Steve also will tell you about GIANTS (Nephilim aliens) and more crud you will also find in your Bible IF you ever read it!

Which of many books of Jasher are true? Could they be like The Zohar and telling the Verbal Tradition but appealing to the ego of the writer? Could they have more truth than the Bible? My recollection is that Charlemagne bought one and paid a handsome sum to some cretin like Alcuin. Whatever the case here is a link to one which appears to be a major fear-mongering effort.

Just because a person is biased does not mean what they are telling you is false. Often you will find those who have been hurt or know how badly they have been lied to will provide the best research.

The extent of industry surrounding the writing trade after Rome let it be known they wanted stories to make into a new religion is immense. I will post just the start of ten of them you have probably never heard of from just this one source.

The first one mentions many others plus "an immense number" of others from Egypt which many have been lost or destroyed. I can only presume at some point even Rome started pulling in the reins on this industry because of the confusion being created.

    "Acts of Andrew

    From "The Apocryphal New Testament"
    M.R. James-Translation and Notes
    Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1924

We have no ancient record of the length of this book, as we had in the cases of John, Paul, and Peter (but I suspect it was the most prolix of all the five), and we have fewer relics of the original text than for those. We have, however, a kind of abstract of the whole, written in Latin by Gregory of Tours: and there are Greek Encomia of the apostle which also help to the reconstruction of the story. The Martyrdom (as in other cases) exists separately, in many texts. Max Bonnet has established the relations of these to each other: and J. Flamion has made a most careful study of all the fragments.

The best specimen of the original text which we have is a fragment preserved in a Vatican MS., tenth-eleventh centuries, containing discourses of Andrew shortly before his passion. There are also a few ancient quotations.

These Acts may be the latest of the five leading apostolic romances. They belong to the third century: C. A. D. 260?

It was formerly thought that the Acts of Andrew and Matthias (Matthew) were an episode of the original romance: but this view has ceased to be held. That legend is akin to the later Egyptian romances about the apostles of which an immense number were produced in the fifth and later centuries. An abstract of them will be given in due course."

Next up we have a man with his name being changed and even God gets into the act, surprised - not!.

    "The Acts of Barnabas

Translated by Alexander Walker. From Ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol. 8.
Edited by Alexander Roberts, James Donaldson, and A. Cleveland Coxe.

The Journeyings and Martyrdom of St. Barnabas the Apostle.

Since from the descent of the presence of our Saviour Jesus Christ, the unwearied and benevolent and mighty Shepherd and Teacher and Physician, I beheld and saw the ineffable and holy and unspotted mystery of the Christians, who hold the hope in holiness, and who have been sealed; and since I have zealously served Him, I have deemed it necessary to give account of the mysteries which I have heard and seen.

I John, accompanying the holy apostles Barnabas and Paul, being formerly a servant of Cyrillus the high priest of Jupiter, but now having received the gift of the Holy Spirit through Paul and Barnabas and Silas, who were worthy of the calling, and who baptized me in Iconium. After I was baptized, then, I saw a certain man standing clothed in white raiment; and he said to me: Be of good courage, John, for assuredly your name shall be changed to Mark, and your glory shall be proclaimed in all the world. And the darkness in you has passed away from you, and there has been given to you understanding to know the mysteries of God."

Then we have a negotiation after Rome takes a lot of sacred 'vessels" (?) back to Rome and we have the start of real persecutions and possibly a deal being made with Jews willing to sell out others.

"Acts of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist
    John the Theologian

Translated by Alexander Walker. From Ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol. 8.
Edited by Alexander Roberts, James Donaldson, and A. Cleveland Coxe.

    About His Exile and Departure.

When Agrippa, whom, on account of his plotting against Peace, they stoned and put to death, was king of the Jews, Vespasian Csar, coming with a great army, invested Jerusalem; and some prisoners of war he took and slew, others he destroyed by famine in the siege, and most he banished, and at length scattered up and down. And having destroyed the temple, and put the holy vessels on board a ship, he sent them to Rome, to make for himself a temple of peace, and adorned it with the spoils of war.

And when Vespasian was dead, his son Domitian, having got possession of the kingdom, along with his other wrongful acts, set himself also to make a persecution against the righteous men. For, having learned that the city was filled with Jews, remembering the orders given by his father about them, he purposed casting them all out of the city of the Romans. And some of the Jews took courage, and gave Domitian a book, in which was written as follows:—

O Domitian, Csar and king of all the world, as many of us as are Jews entreat thee, as suppliants we beseech of thy power not to banish us from thy divine and benignant countenance; for we are obedient to thee, and the customs, and laws, and practices, and policy, doing wrong in nothing, but being of the same mind with the Romans."

The whole issue is absurd of course, but who are these "man-eaters" - is this why Nero called the Christians "cannibals"?

1 When Andrew left the city of the man-eaters, a cloud of light took him up and carried him to the mountain where Peter and Matthias and Alexander and Rufus were sitting. And Peter said: Have you prospered Yes, he said, but they did me much hurt. Come then, said Peter, and rest awhile from your labours."

I must be dense - how does one "communicate in the Eucharist"?

    "Consummation of Thomas the Apostle

Translated by Alexander Walker. From Ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol. 8.
Edited by Alexander Roberts, James Donaldson, and A. Cleveland Coxe.

At the command of King Misdeus the blessed Apostle Thomas was cast into prison; and he said: I glorify God, and I shall preach the word to the prisoners, so that all rejoiced at his presence. When, therefore, Juzanes the king's son, and Tertia his mother, and Mygdonia, and Markia, had become believers, but were not yet thought worthy of baptism, they took it exceedingly ill that the blessed one had been shut up. And having come to the prison, and given much money to the jailor, they went in to him. And he, seeing them, was glad, and glorified the Lord, and blessed them. And they entreated and begged the seal in the Lord, a beautiful young man having appeared to them in a dream, and ordered the apostle into the house of Juzanes.

And again the beautiful young man, coming to them and Thomas, bade them do this on the coming night. And he ran before them, and gave them light on the way, and without noise opened the doors that had been secured, until all the mystery was completed. And having made them communicate in the Eucharist, and having talked much with them, and confirmed them in the faith, and commended them to the Lord, he went forth thence, leaving the women, and again went to be shut up. And they grieved and wept because Misdeus the king was to kill him."

Was this person walking through the doors and opening them from the other side - and yet the Romans thought nothing of it?

I guess sometimes Rome put out a request or assigned a story to one person but others offered up their version for consideration as well.

"The Vision of Paul the Apostle

Note that a separate and entirely different text
of this same name is found in the Nag Hammadi Library.

From the Ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol X.

Here Begins the Vision of Saint Paul the Apostle.

"But I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I know not; or out of the body, I know not, God knoweth) snatched up in this manner to the third heaven: and I know such a man, whether in the body or out of the body I know not, God knoweth; how that he was snatched up into Paradise and heard secret words which it is not lawful for men to speak; on behalf of such a one will I glory; but on mine own behalf I will not glory, save in my infirmities."-2 Corinthians 12:1-5

    1. At what time was this revelation made? In the consulship of Theodosius Augustus the Younger and Cynegius,1 a certain nobleman then living in Tharsus, in the house which was that of Saint Paul, an angel appearing in the night revealed to him, saying that he should open the foundations of the house and should publish what he found, but he thought that these things were dreams;"

Well, you must be getting the idea and can look at the many other impressive sounding documents of the faith. Even the person doing the translations got weary enough to just do a summary, and found them "dreary".

    "The Apocalypse of the Virgin

    (Summary only)

    From "The Apocryphal New Testament"
    M.R. James-Translation and Notes
    Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1924

We have this in Greek in a great many texts. The oldest I have found was edited by me in 1893. A very brief summary of it will suffice, for it is a late and dreary production."

There is far too much writing in the Bible lore to spend a great deal of time worrying about - because it is lore - or myth from the Phoenicians and then made into Empire by Rome. It is not Holy it is un-Holy though the land is now full of holes. We also have insights from the Greek Qabalah as to interpretations of The Logos which I consider to be the source for the science of Harmonics brought anew by Tesla who says all he ever achieved was from Revelations in the Bible.

" 14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' " 16From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only,[e][f]who is at the Father's side, has made him known.

This then combines the two planes into one; though we should be careful as the Gospel of John was written long after the disciple called John had died. Also, an apocryphon is a secret teaching and probably would have only been available to initiates of the Barbelo school. From the Apocryphon of John we also get a mythological rendering of the Barbelo cosmogony in greater detail from that preserved by Irenaeus and here presented by Sufis:

The Apocryphon of John 4:1-16 describes through a myth/teaching narrative the Story of the AUTO-GENES/Self Brought Forth (Apocyphon of John 4:11,13-16, because G-D's Purpose is expressed through this One whose Light is More Dim for He is conceived by Pronoia/Barbelo His Morther who is the Pleroma/Sephorah/Mumkinat and His Fthr, Who as Beyond Being, Pours Himself out into H-R as Unmanifested Being, then SH- continued by Pouring Herself as Unmanifested Being into the Logos as Manifested or Breathed out Being [Apocryphon of John 4:1-3]). He, the Logos is described as a Mono-genes/the Only Brought Fourth (Apocryphon of John 4:3-4). The Logos who is called Christ/Messiah/Mashiah/Anointed One, because he is the One that the Fthr, G-D, annointed with H-S Goodness, and It was Transmited to the Logos through H-S Mother, Who is called Barbelo, Pronoia, Hagiou Pneumata/Holy Spirit (Apocryphon of John 4:5-6; Apocryphon of John 3:6,8). The Apocryphon of John 4:7-8 then mentions that Christ, the fruit of Emanation, asks for Nous/Mind for a "companion". The Nous/Mind, then Praises in Silence the Pleroma, who is Barbelo, and the Anointed One, Who is the Logos (Apocryphon of John 4:8-9). Thelema/Will is Produced by the Higher Logos/Word, who is the Son of the Hagiou Pneumata/Holy Spirit, Who is Barbelo--the Pleroma (Apocryphon of John 4:10). Then the Lower Logos/Rhema/World followed after Thelema/Will (Apocryphon of John 4:11). It mentions in the Apocryphon of John 4:13 that Hagiou Pneumata/Holy Spirit, Who is here the Male Half, of Androgynous Barbelo (Apocryphon of John 3:8), perfects the Manifested Being of Spirit (Manifesting Being) and Unmanifested Being of Barbelo, Who is the Pronoia. The Auto-genes then Stands before the Spirit, Who is Manifesting Being, Who Honors Him with Loud Praise/Doxa (Apocryphon of John 4:14). The Apocryphon of John 4:15 mentions that Son, who is also called Autogenes issued forth from Pronoia/Forethought, Who is Barbelo (Unmanifested Being), and that this Selfsame Autogenes (Manifested Being) was placed in charge of everything by the Pneuma/Spirit, Who is Manifesting Being. The Apocryphon of John 4:16 then alludes to the Secret of G-D's Inexhaustable Name currently composed of Seventy-two Manifested Huruf with a Seventy-third Harf Hidden/Concealed/Burried Deep into the Realms wraiting to be Manifested. P.S. The Auto-Genes/ the Self Brought Forth, Who is called the Annointed One, the Logos (Manifested Being) of the Pneuma/Spirit (Manifesting Being) creates by a Lesser Logos/Rhema/Speech (see Bereshit 1:3-27; Genesis 1:3-27). The Auto-Genes, the Annointed Logos appears to be a Group Soul for all the Chosen Ones of G-D annoined with H-S Goodness, such as Prophets, Imams, and the Ahl al-Bayt, who are also called the Ahl adh-Dhikr (Surah 16:43).

In this, the Logos is divided between higher and lower planes, as well as itself being called the Christ as in the Gospel. And indeed in Gnostic cosmogony, it is the Christ that comes from the Pleroma to teach humanity of its true divinity; that it has a soul. This is also the essential inner-school or initiated teaching of the Greek mystery schools as founded by Pythagoras and developed by Plato. And so before we concern ourselves with Gnosticism, we really need to understand the teachings of this school system,"

And as I make clear Pythagoras the Druid is a look backwards past bards like Orpheus who some academics say Pythagoras authored some of the writings we have, to the ancient verbal tradition of Qabala, kept by the BRDs - my name.

Then you can look up the Book of Enoch and see so many Christian promoters of Profit (Eliz. Clare included). But maybe you want to read it yourself with so many flakes and utter deviates speaking out against it.

"What is the Book of Enoch?

The Book of Enoch is considered to have been written by Enoch, the seventh from Adam. It is considered an apocryphal book as well as a part of the Pseudepigrapha (literally means “falsely ascribed” is a collection of works supposedly written by a biblical character), although it is not a part of the canonical Apocrypha.

Once considered to be of Christian origin because of its obvious references to Christ, ten fragments of The Book of Enoch have been found at Qumran in the Dead Sea Scrolls, it is known to have existed in its present form since at least the 2nd Century BC.

The book was believed to have been composed by Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. Most critics and scholars believe it was begun in the second century BC and was a collection of works that includes writings for the first century BC as well. Some believe it contains the actual words of Enoch and that it was handed down through the ages. There is no real way to know for certain if that is so. The only thing we know for certain is that fragments of the book date back to the 2nd century BC.

It is generally believed that the Apostles and the writers of the New Testament were fully aware of the Book of Enoch also called 1 Enoch. In fact, it is directly quoted in the Bible:

Jude 1:14-15 “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, {15} To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him”"
