    The Newport Tower

My oldest brother's wife is of Norse ancestry and their Norumbega Society holds events at the Newport Tower because they know it has been part of their involvement in the Americas since at least the time of L'Anse aux Meadows proven archaeologically around 1000 AD. If you were to look into Wikipedia scholars saying there is no proof other than that to show Phoenicians in the Americas or any other visitors before that you might ask how this structure is here and a whole lot of other proofs including a Roman Terracotta Head in Mexico and all the things Zelia Nuttall, Goodyear, Guidon and a thousand other facts from every science including DNA it has taken a year of hard work to put here. There are many names for the Norse or Kelts as we have shown in Gimbutas threads or many other threads. People moved due to glaciers, weather and to get resources - for a very long time. I am not convinced I understand this new science in the link which follows - it seems a mix of things I think I grasp and yet I do not need what it says to know it confirms what is evident in actual artifacts found properly dated all over the Americas and backed up by DNA.

Do historians read National Geographic or Scientific American? You might think a date of 7,000 BCE for the site of the Newport Tower on a glyph is outside the realm of possibility and yet it fits very nicely into a era of many proofs and is far later than many other proofs.

I'm going to build my secrets into the Geometry of these buildings, because I know that books can be burned but buildings not so easily."

    The Newport Tower Story
    by Arthur D. Faram

Updated 4/07/2013 - The Newport Tower has been the subject of discussion and controversy since the Colonists first arrived in the new world and discovered the structure on Rhode Island, USA. Early explorers noted that the tower existed during their early explorations of North America. However, that did not deter skeptics from claiming that the tower was constructed in Colonial times. Documented research shows that the tower was most likely constructed in the 15th Century, destroyed in the 16th Century and then rebuilt in the 17th Century on the 200th anniversary of its original construction. The Newport Tower is an important North American Landmark; however, it is the Newport Island itself that has been an important focal point of civilizations around the world for thousands of years.

The information gathered for presentation on this website was gathered using the new science of Geoglyphology. (Google keyword: Geoglyphology). The calculations performed on both this website and the Kensington Runestone website require the use of a special software called "Google Earth". Google's software is able to calculate true spherical bearings on a curved surface and then display them correctly on a flat plane. In the following photos the true curvature of the lines is missing. For simplicity the great circle line was established and then only the endpoints were connected. This software can be acquired free by searching the internet using the keywords "Google Earth".

    Spherical Geometry

In spherical geometry all lines are curved along the surface and no lines are parallel. It is difficult to grasp the concept that two parallel headings can cross. That is because we are used to thinking in terms of Plane Geometry on a flat plane. However, this changes when you draw lines on a sphere. In dealing with a sphere you enter the realm of Spherical Geometry.

Spherical Geometry is the study of figures on the surface of a sphere, as opposed to the type of geometry studied in plane geometry or solid geometry. In spherical geometry, straight lines are great circles, so any two lines will meet in two places. There are also no parallel lines. The angle between two lines in spherical geometry is the angle between the planes of the corresponding great circles, and a spherical triangle is defined by its three angles. There is no concept of similar triangles in plane geometry.

In the field of Geoglyphology, we are plotting lines in a spherical world and then displaying the results on a flat plane. It is difficult to grasp the concept of combining Spherical Geometry with Plane Geometry. That is why the field of Geoglyphology could not have been proposed without the advent of software that computes using Spherical Geometry and then displays it on a flat plane. This type of precise mapping precludes the plotting of these bearings on a flat map. Maps become distorted when converted from a sphere to a flat map. Any lines that are depicted on a flat non-satellite map, on this website, were first plotted using the Google software and then drawn on the flat map after the end points were determined. Even then, the proper curvature is missing.

    The Newport Tower

The Newport Tower has been carbon dated as being over 500 years old. The simple geometry associated with the Tower is outlined below. The results of the carbon dating and details of the Newport Tower, the Kensington Runestone, and many more landmarks, geoglyphs and monoliths can be found in the newly released book "Ancient Signposts". The book can be found on As you will see below, the Newport Tower and Inspiration Peak Locations have been known and revered for thousands of years. Based on the dating of the of the geoglyphs pointing to Inspiration Peak, a North American survey marker, it appears that revealing the location did not begin in earnest until the Norse came to the Americas circa 1000AD. The only geoglyph that has been found to date, that points to Inspiration Peak prior to 500BC is the Stonehenge Monolith in the UK. The Stonehenge geoglyph has been dated to c3100BC.

Newport Tower was built by early inhabitants of North America for two reasons. The first was to point the way to Inspiration Peak, a place of special geographical importance. The second was to substantiate the builders land claim to North America by using the unique geographical location of Newport (RI USA). The predecessors of the people that built the tower knew of Newport, RI USA for over 7000 years. This is substantiated by the Egyptian Gulfo de Centra geoglyph in West Africa that points out the Newport Tower site. There was a reason that North America held some special significance. Geoglyphs found around the world show that people were mapping out what would later be known as the United States at least as far back as the building of the Mayan Pyramids. Mayan Pyramids located in Central America outline the boundaries of what would eventually become the United States. This is outlined in the book "Ancient Signposts" which can be found on

An Ancient Egyptian Geoglyph That Identified the Future Newport Tower Site 7000 years before the tower was built.

The 7000 Year Old Gulfo de Cintra Glyphs, Western Sahara, Africa
    (23* 01' 32.58"N - 16* 07' 04.69"W)

The Gulfo de Cintra geoglyphs are some of the most spectacular that we have encountered in all our investigations around the world. First of all they are very clear. There is no doubt where the centers of the defining circles are. This is due to the fact that they consist of stone slabs sitting atop 30 foot high towers of sand. This the result of 7000 years of wind blowing the sand from around them and the slabs compacting the sand under them. Secondly, all the resulting radials point to well established markers that leave no doubt as to where they were intended to point. The Gulfo de Cintra Glyphs were discovered by Arthur Faram in 2009 by following the directions from the 7000 year old Egyptian geoglyph, called Nabta Playa. Nabta Playa has been identified and accurately dated by accredited archeologists.

It is obvious that ancient civilizations were able to understand things that we are just beginning to understand. If you will remember, in your history studies, the Hebrews were involved in the engineering and oversight of the building of the pyramids {I have written many books on this fact but the language Hebrew was only recently proven to be Phoenician in origin.}. Did the Egyptians, Hebrews, Greeks, Celts, and early Christians have some knowledge that others did not have; the knowledge to build the Pyramids, knowledge to build Stonehenge, knowledge of the geography of the entire world? The geoglyphs located around the world indicate that the answer is yes."

A few hundred miles north (up the Connecticut River through Lake Memphremagog where remains of a gold mining op from pre-Roman eras are) of the Newport Tower you had Cartier and other 'discoverers' doing bad things to the helpful people who greeted them as if they were going to be like so many others who came to the St. Lawrence seeking fish and furs.

Some authors interpret that the mention of white men in woollens is important and others skip the matter. I think the words of Donnacona were true at first but after his kids were kidnapped and other shenanigans up to and including baptisms he realized these foreigners were not at all to be trusted. They were used to many Basque and other visitors including Norse and Irish (Norumbega etc.). We know this now so it is funny to read official accounts that try to make it seem like Cartier discovered North America or this region of it. Back in Europe there was something like the race to the moon flag-planting going on to claim the region and the Treaty of Tordesillas claimed the Pope had the right to split the whole world in two for his vassal states. But that is Rodrigo Borgia of the original crime family according to the recent mini-series. They aren't original though they were criminal. Jean Cabot actually never even reached the St. Lawrence probably and he wasn't English either but it served the English need to lay claim to the region. The intrigues continued and there was a period when it was thought prudent to have the Masons rule the land. Don't laugh - look up the Whig Party in the US later on.

This author told a lot of truth in his large and extensive research including manufacture and trans-shipment points for copper and metal ores being shipped back to Europe - Morrison's Island 1 and 6. They are separate archaeological digs on the Petawawa River which was one route to Lake Superior's great ores that had been known to a few people for many millennia (check out the Old Copper Culture and Isle Royale). He is quoted in my work as he notices the traditions and usages of Europe are all over the place.

If you look for Frederick Pohl you might find an historian who had to tell truth in fictional presentations for a long time. But he was telling truth and other historians were schlepping fiction to make nations seem justified in Manifest Destiny designs. Their work can often still be found in libraries and schools - telling major lies and selling prejudices galore - I refer you to Diamond Jenness and all so many reprints talking about savages and primitives and other crud.

There are many potential candidates who could have built the Newport Tower in the era before Columbus. The Norse Jarldom of Orkney off Scotland has a few whose lineage includes the people od Roslyn Castle you saw in the Da Vinci Code. That castle has sculpted or cast stone Maize or corn from North America in the construction. It is dated to the time before Columbus and you all know about the Zeno Narrative if you have followed any of these stories - Venice was an important and safe haven for seafarers who needed to steer clear of larger enemies for as long as people were travelling in ships.

When I see Cistercians helping develop Hitler or at the site of an early use of The Plague to eliminate the beautiful people of Bountiful (North America) I wonder who was behind the effort. In this case I have only the probable fact of an infestation and maybe it did not spread too far because the Nipissing shamans had good medicine and insight. It involves another hotly contested anomaly in our history of lies - the Kensington Runestone.

Scott Wolter of America Unearthed appears to have been at the Radisson Hotel when the Midwest Archaeological Society met and brought experts from Norway and engineers as well as chemists to study and agree the KRS is authentic. He is a Duke University scholar and Kehoe might be related to the scholar who showed the Ertebolle Pottery of Scandinavia was brought to the Americas millennia before this.

"KRS story with a wealth of historical information to produce a new interpretation of the origin and subsequent movements of the KRS. Very succinctly, Reiersgord theorized that the Scandinavian explorers were Cistercian monks from Gotland, along with some Norwegian sailors and navigators, and the “ten men red with blood and tortured” were victims, not of an Indian massacre, but of an outbreak of bubonic plague. (The plague, or Black Death, had swept through Europe shortly before the date on the KRS: 1346-50, and continued to flare up for decades after that.) Reiersgord’s scenario could account for the rapid decimation of Native Americans long before the westward migrations of European settlers, the Dakota legends of a pre-Columbian visit by white men with iron tools and weapons (see below), and other mysteries of American history.3 Finally, recent geological studies by Scott Wolter have shown that the weathering of the KRS inscription indicates at least 200 years of exposure before its discovery in 1898.4 If so Ohman (or any other alleged nineteenth-century hoaxer) could not have incised the inscription, and dating it before 1700 reduces the opportunity, means, and motive for such a hoax to the vanishing point. If this geological finding holds up, all the objections to “aberrant runes” and anachronistic words will be rendered irrelevant. The KRS will have to be accepted as a genuine fourteenth-century document, and its odd words and phrases will eventually be added to dictionaries of medieval Scandinavian.

It does not mean a lot to my history to prove any visits between 1000 AD and 1500 AD. But for the fact that academics even deny these things I would not bother to mention them. Here is a blog someone has created covering other things you may have seen on TV.

    "Mysteries of the Templars

    The Legend of Glooscap

"It is known that the Templars fled to Scotland, too, after the dissolution of 1312, and it is known that some found refuge among the Saint-Clairs of Rosslyn in Midlothian. There is a Templar cemetery there."
    - Michael Bradley, Holy Grail Across the Atlantic

"No family in Europe beneath the rank of royalty boasts a higher antiquity, a nobler illustration, or a more romantic interest than that of St. Clair."
    - Sir John Bernard Burke, Vicissitudes of Families and Other Essays

"...We encountered repeated references to the Sinclair family - Scottish branch of the Norman Saint-Clair/Gisors family. Their domain at Rosslyn was only a few miles from the former Scottish headquarters of the Knights Templar, and the chapel at Rosslyn - built between 1446 and 1486 - has long been associated with both Freemasonry and the Rose-Croix. In a charter believed to date from 1601, moreover, the Sinclairs are recognized as 'hereditary Grand Masters of Scottish Masonry'. This is the earliest specific Masonic document on record."
    - Baigent and Leigh, The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail

"The famous Grail Seeker Trevor Ravenscroft claimed in 1962 that he had finished a twenty year quest in search of the Grail at Rosslyn chapel.....His claim was that the Grail was inside the Prentice Pillar (as it is known) in this chapel. The chapel is often visited now by Grail Seekers and many references to the Grail can be found in its stonework and windows. Metal detectors have been used on the pillar and an object of the appropriate size is indeed buried in the middle. Lord Rosslyn adamantly refuses to have the pillar x-rayed."
    - Chris Thornborrow, "An Introduction to Current Theories about The Holy Grail"

Henry Sinclair, Earl of Orkney, "was born about 1345, about a generation after the Templar dispersal.... Henry's ancestor and namesake, Henri de Saint-Clair fought beside Godfroi de Bouillon at the taking of Jerusalem. Several Saint-Clairs became Templars themselves."

"In the confusing and purely familial pattern of the Middle Ages, Henry Sinclair held Rosslyn as a vassal of the Kings of England and Scotland, but held Orkney as a vassal of the King of Norway."

"By 1390, Henry's fleet numbered 13 ships: two undecked oared galleys of Mediterranean type useful for maneuvering in the narrow channels of the Orkney and Shetland island groups (and a favored labyrinth for pirates and discontented island smugglers); one decked longship for battle, based on the old Viking lines; and ten decked sailing barks suitable for oceanic patrols around the island groups."

"In 1391 a Venetian ship entered the Orkney earldom. Aboard was Nicolo Zeno, brother of Carlo Zeno [the "Lion" of Venice] who had pioneered the use of cannon for Venice at the Battle of Chioggia. After spending some time with Sinclair, Nicolo Zeno wrote home to Venice and instructed his brother, Antonio, to join him in the Orkneys. Nicolo and Antonio together supplied the expertise that Henry lacked. They knew how to forge the new lightweight cannon for shipboard use, and they were familiar with the latest navigational theories and cartographic skills. They stayed in the service of Sinclair until death."
    - Michael Bradley, Holy Grail Across the Atlantic

Unable to take in wood and water in Iceland because of a hostile reception by the inhabitants,

"Sinclair, seeing he could do nothing, and that if we were to persevere in this attempt, the fleet would fall short of provisions, took his departure with a fair wind and sailed 6 days to the westwards; but the winds afterwards shifting to the southwest, and the sea becoming rough, we sailed 4 days with the wind aft and finally sighted land." "As the sea ran high and we did not know what country it was, we were afraid at first to approach it, but by God's blessing the wind lulled, and then there came on a great calm. Some of the crew pulled ashore and soon returned with great joy with news that they found an excellent country and a still better harbor." "After eight days the 100 soldiers returned, and brought work that they had been through the island and up to the hill, and that the smoke was a natural thing proceeding from a great fire in the bottom of the hill, and that there was a spring from which issued a certain substance like pitch, which ran into the sea, and that thereabouts dwelt a great many people half wild, and living in caves. They were of small stature and very timid. They reported also there was a large river, and a very good and safe harbor."
    - The Zeno Narrative

Apparently in 1398, Harry Sinclair, the Earl of Orkney, sailed to Nova Scotia, accompanied by the Zeno brothers of Genoa (one of whom mailed an account home to another brother left in Italy). He started a settlement where the "royal family" took refuge.
    - Timothy C. Green

"Burning pitch deposits at Stellarton [Nova Scotia] behind Mt. Adams were responsible for the 'burning hill' Sinclair's explorers first thought they saw. The description confirms Cape Caruso as the area of landfall on June 2, 1398."
    - Michael Bradley, Holy Grail Across the Atlantic

Sinclair's castle was built "in the middle of the peninsula, at the headwaters of both the Gold and the Gaspereau Rivers, the mouth each of which is indicated by an Oak Island (the one at the mouth of the Gold is THE Oak Island of treasure fame...These are apparently the only two islands with oak trees growing on them in all of NS, and acorns don't float. All that is left of the castle are footings of walls (partial plan in book) level with the ground, and to the author, these are very similar to rubble wall constuction in Scotland, and unlike anything else in the area. There were also some small artificts picked up the the owner of the site, who was an avid gardener.
    - Timothy C. Green

    "Glooscap was the first,
    First and greatest,
To come to our land -
    Into Nova Scotia...
    When the Master left Ukakumkuk,
    Called by the English Newfoundland,
He went to Pictook or Pictou,
Which means the rising of bubbles,
Because at that place the water is
    Ever strangely moving,
There he found an Indian Village
A town of a hundred wigwams."
    - Frederick Pohl, Prince Henry Sinclair

In the body of Micmac legends, "Pohl was the first to identify Gooscap as Henry Sinclair. Pohl was able to make a list of 17 specific similarities between Glooscap and Sinclair, including the fact that they each had three daughters."
    - Michael Bradley, Holy Grail Across the Atlantic

Glooscap "invited all to a parting banquet
By the great lake Minas shore
    On the silver waters' edge.
And when the feast was over,
    Entered his great canoe
And sailed away over the water,
    The shining waves of Minas."
    - Frederick Pohl, Prince Henry Sinclair

"And, in memory of this parting, the Micmacs traditionally chanted:

    "Nemajeeck, Numeedich."
This, as Frederick Pohl noted, sounds like the words of an old Norse sea-chantey sung when weighing anchor.

"Nu mo jag, nu mo deg."
    - Michael Bradley, Holy Grail Across the Atlantic

"Samuel de Champlain was in on the scheme for when he showed up 200 years later, he did what he could to hide the existence of the refuge (his normally detailed maps became vague in the area, his reports were deliberately false with respect to prospects for settlers). As a result, colonization of the area was slowed down for about a generation until the family could be moved to Ville Marie (Montreal), not hidden this time, but disguised as the Sulpician religious order."
    - Timothy C. Green"

The Boston University people must really have special access to the purple juice of Reverend Jones or wish they had. Their hallucinatory academic proclamations of archaeology have included all manner of fraudulent de-bunking. The day should soon be upon them when all funds are cut off. But it won't happen in our lifetimes because there was ample proof of their lies a long time ago. In this link you will get a long list of their accomplished frauds which they have passed off as fact. See also Professor Wiseman (I could be a wise-ass and remark about a Dickens malapropism.) on the Kensington Runestone which all academics except one who gathered before his article appeared in Archaeology Magazine disagreed with his assertions. Note the 12,000 year Clovis nonsense near the end of the article.

Jason Colavito stepped into it when he contradicted Jim Egan of the Newport Tower Museum based on what was represented falsely on Scott Wolter's TV show America Unearthed. Jim quotes Admiral Morison as an expert - and he may be an expert but he too is blind to real research - and was arguing against the Norse being in America before it was accepted as absolute fact. I covered this debate in my books presenting Westviking and how people like Morison were supporting colonial history and rip offs. This comment covers things I find plausible from Dee and I would add Francis Bacon owned land in nearby Nova Scotia and many more things I cover in my book on Oak Island and the Templars. If Scott really was into doing good research he could tie all these things together.

    "Dear Jason and all,

I've enjoyed reading your opinions about "America's Oldest Secret" and the Newport Tower. That show, for all its nonsensicalness and non-sequiturs has sparked an interest in this incredibly important structure.

This is a quote from Jason's introduction

He [Wolter] meets with one such academic, Jim Egan, the curator of the Newport Tower Museum. Egan does not believe that the tower was a windmill; instead, he thinks it is the first English structure in Rhode Island, built just before 1600 and later converted into a windmill, based, again, on the fact that it simply doesn’t look like a windmill to him. He believes that Dr. John Dee planned a secret colony for Rhode Island, that the Tower was its first building, and that the colony failed, leaving behind, conveniently, no trace of its existence archaeologically or historically. In fact, Egan produced a video naming the tower the “John Dee Tower of 1583,” for which there is not the slightest hint of solid evidence.

I would respectfully like to disagree with several of the points you have made here.

First off I am not an academic, I have been a professional photographer for 40 years. I've studied the Tower for over 25 years, written 12 books on the subject, produced 20 videos, and opened the Newport Tower Museum. Over the past three years I've explained my research to over 2000 people from practically every state in the country and most of the countries in Europe.

Secondly, you suggest that I think the tower was converted into a windmill. Let me be clear. I don’t think this tower was built as a windmill, or that it was ever converted into a windmill.

Thirdly, I think it's misleading to refer to John Dee as Dr. John Dee. He was not a medical doctor. He was an expert on Euclidean geometry, mathematics, astronomy, optics, navigation, cartography, history, theology, and Vitruvian architecture. He wrote over 40 books and had a library of 4000 books, the largest in Elizabethan England

When you claim that there is "no trace of its existence archaeologically or historically" and that I have "not the slightest hint of solid evidence" for naming the tower the "John D Tower 1583. I can only think that you haven't read my thesis, listen to my videos, or been to the Newport Tower Museum.

You are however absolutely correct that I do not provide any evidence of my thesis during that bizarre episode of "America's Oldest Secret." All my erudite rebuttals to Scott Wolter’s absurd conjectures ended up on the cutting room floor.

As we sat on the park bench I explained to him that the drawing on the Mercator map of 1569 was a depiction of the mythical town of Norumbega, which is 90 miles up the Hudson. What is now Narragansett Bay is clearly marked on the Mercator map, just north of the triangular island of Claudia. Furthermore, both Norumbega and Claudia appear on John Dee’s 1580 map of North America. John Dee and Gerard Mercator were inseparable friends in when they were both studying under the renowned astronomer Gemma Frisuis in the Louvain, Netherlands.

    Much of my work is based on the pioneering research done by William Penhallow, Professor Emeritus in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Rhode Island. In the early 1990s, he found numerous astronomical alignments in the Tower, and as a professional photographer, I photo-documented what he had predicted in his published papers. {These astronomical alignments are as old as 7,000 BCE according to Gigal's research connecting to Inspiration Point near the Tower from far away Africa which ties in with many other sites including Stonehenge. Stonehenge is aligned with serpent mounds in many places in America and the not too far away Mystery Hill.}

I was astounded by astronomy Incorporated in the tower. There are alignments with the North Star, the Moon at Lunar Minor, and the Sun at each of the Solstices and at the Equinoxes. The Tower is a building which keeps track of time. The interior of the tower acted like a camera-obscura solar-disc calendar-room. (I have replicated this kind of a room in my Museum.)

I showed Scott Wolter all these alignments and not only did he “borrow” some of them to support his Templar Thesis, he botched a wonderful opportunity to share the depth of Penhallow’s amazing discoveries on National TV.

For example, in the winter of 2000, I was photographing Penhallow’s discovery that sunlight passes through two of the three windows in the Tower. This event only happens just after sunrise, on or around the Winter Solstice, and no other time of year. I got some great shots of the event, which only last 20 minutes, and decided to hang around to see if anything else happened. At around 9:00 AM, I noticed that egg-shaped rock being illuminated by a box of light shining through the south window.

Scott saw my photographs at the slide show I presented at the Newport Tower symposium sponsored by the New England Antiquities Research Association at the Newport Art Museum. He asked if he could use the pictures for his book on the "Hooked X." I refused, telling him I did not believe at all in his Templar theory. {So we have two people promoting their ego rather than listening or looking for the common threads and facts - so usual!} However, I told him when the event would happen, and where he should stand, and he was free to take his own pictures, which he did. And in the book, he courteously credits me with the discovery. Much as I disagree with Scott, I'm grateful that he is bringing a Tower to the attention of a wider audience.

Incidentally, that egg-shaped rock is completely contained within the first-floor room of the Tower. The patch of sunlight does not have to go through a floor. The tops of the beam sockets are clearly below the level of the egg shaped rock.

For the sake of brevity, I will not explain my full thesis, which can be read at:

Or understood even more briefly in some short videos produced by Marc Creedon on my Facebook page: Newport Tower.

To conclude, if you think I'm making up this whole idea of the Elizabethan effort to colonize what is now Rhode Island, I suggest you dig a little deeper into the history books. Two of the most noted authorities on Elizabethan exploration, David Beers Quinn and Samuel Eliot Morrison both talk about at length about the 1583 colonization effort. The authorization for this expedition came from the Queen herself.

For example, on page 376 of his 1974, “England and the Discovery of America” David Beers Quinn writes,

“Moreover, Dee was able to point out to them on the large map of North America he had drawn in 1580 the precise place he thought their settlement should lie. Verrazzano had stayed for some time on Narragansett Bay in modern Rhode Island, which he calls his "Refugio," and there was decided that Peckham should lay out his seignory.”

And Samuel Eliot Morison, in his 1971 book, “The European Discovery of America,” on page 590 writes,

“And in 1582-83, Sir Humphrey Gilbert deeded to Sir George Peckham and his son a modest patrimony of 1,5000,000 acres. Guided by Verrazzano’s Letter (which Hakluyt had printed), the grant begins at "Dee River" (Narragansett Bay) with its five islands and extends 60 English miles ‘along the seacoast westward towards the river of Norumbeague.’”

Unfortunately Gigal has an apocalyptic follower and I am not sure what the content of all I read means because it is in French and sometimes the translator does a bad job translating.

A week or so ago a new Norse site was found in southwestern Newfoundland. Admiral Morison and Jim Egan are wrong and it was not just Norse. When Henry Sinclair arrived the century before Columbus he brought many translators or people who knew many languages but they found many other languages being spoken. The Basque and Berbers, Tuareg, Phoenicians etc., also like fish, fur and gold.

Detractors writing about the recent Point Rosee discovery in Newfoundland have said the iron found there which is being compared to Scandinavian bog processing could have merely been the result of natives lighting fires. Great - but do they follow that line of reasoning to see natives also observed how to make use of this as we find at Morison's Island and in the work of Trigger and/or J. V. Wright who have artifacts including copper fish hooks and more. Spalling is a fire mining process which was also used throughout the Old Copper Culture and the nearly 10,000 mines there which Smithsonian panel of experts said was the equal of the Giza Plateau in meaning to our cultural heritage. But that was in the late 19th Century before nations started worrying about Supreme Court actions to buffet the claims and awards for the 'natives' and affirmative action for blacks (who had been in the Americas longer than white people even existed - see Guidon in Brazil).

Satellite and GPRadar has been used for decades now. Ms. Moore found another site near Angkor Wat which was older. Now we have Sarah Parcak getting active along the eastern seaboard to prove what only fools doubt. Many people were coming there for a very long time before Columbus. I think walls and roads will be found all over the world.

"Parcak told the New York Times that hundreds of sites across the eastern seaboards of Canada and the U.S. were considered, and the Point Rosee location looked promising, marked by "'a dark stain' with buried rectilinear features."

An expedition to the site last summer uncovered traces of a kind of iron known to be worked by Norse peoples, as well as turf walls and a Norse-style hearth. The iron itself -- a variety of 'bog iron' extracted from bogs in Scandinavia rather than mined from the ground -- was strong evidence of Norse occupation of the site, as no indigenous peoples are known to use that iron smelting technique.

"We did not find one single shred of any [contradictory] evidence, so that leaves two options," Parcak told the CBC. "It's either a new culture that looks and presents exactly like Norse, or Norse ... But obviously we have a lot of work left in front of us before we can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is.""

The Prehistoric Worldwide Import of the Great Lakes

This is part of the Table of Contents for my book on the Old Copper Culture surrounding the pure orichalcum or copper of Lake Superior.

CHAPTER ONE: From 'Hell' and Back.

    - The Canadian Encyclopedia says: "The ancestors of the Iroquois can be traced backwards in New York State by archaeological evidence to at least 500 BC. And possibly as far back as 4,000 BC. The distinctive Iroquois culture of the historic period seems to have developed by about 1000 AD." In order to take the Iroquois back to 4000 BC one has to find the Megwi and Adena before them were once people who lived in Poverty Point where Eurasiatic technology existed and tall people thrived in the Keltic mound building tradition.

CHAPTER TWO: Manitou's Mounds and Mississippi Mud.

    - Professor Jesse Jennings wrote what the Smithsonian called 'authoritative' and in its third edition says: "...are all the high cultures of the New World resultant from a diffusion of ideas, customs, artifacts, and religious-social practices of the OLD WORLD?"
    - He also says: "Even more unusual at the two sites was the microflint work. The industry involved the striking of long, prismatic flakes from egg-shaped flint nodules or cores in a manner reminiscent of Eurasiatic Mesolithic industries."

CHAPTER THREE: Guardians of the Iberian Gateway (ST. Lawrence, Hudson).

    - J. V. Wright is one of Canada's top academics and he wrote A History of the Native People's of Canada, Volume I, (10,000 - 1,000 B.C.) and he says: "Historically documented native beliefs in Canada appear to have been quite similar to those of the pre-Christian Celtic, Germanic, and Scandinavian peoples as well as other parts of the world..."
    - He also brings us: "The Allumette-1 and Morrison's Island-6 sites, in addition to other activities, they functioned as manufacturing centres of copper tools."

CHAPTER FOUR: The Great Wall of China Extends to Ohio's 'Giants'.

    - Elizabeth Wayland Barber's The Mummies of Ǘrümchi says: "Linguistically these twins show features lumping them most closely with the 'westernmost' Indo-European languages: Celtic and Italic.... But they are not particularly similar to their nearest geographical neighbors..."

    - Also, she states: "What Professor Mair {University of Pennsylvania} recognized there stunned him. The mummies appeared to be neither Chinese nor Mongoloid in facial type; they looked, in fact, distinctively Caucasian..."

CHAPTER FIVE: Peru Shakes Hands With Poverty Point.

    - "The rise and fall of Celtic sea power has been strangely neglected... Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, most of Book III of Caesar's De Bello Gallico is devoted to the greatest naval battle he was ever called upon to mount.... No less than 220 ships, all larger than and superior in construction to those of the opposing Roman navy under Admiral Brutus." These words from Professor Barraclough Fell set the truth of ancient worldwide travel and trade in motion.
    - He is the champion of many and the outcast of his Harvard 'cronies' and other academics. There is no part of this planet were we will not show the Kelts or 'keltoi'.

    CHAPTER SIX: Memphremagog:

    - The Catholic Encyclopedia says: "Finally, Josephus and others identify Magog with Scythia, but in antiquity this name was used to designate vaguely any northern population." Scythia is central to the birthplace of the Kelts as genetic research shows in 35-30,000 year ago time. 'Phre' is 'fire' from the 'sun' of Druidic or Heliopolitan sun worship which is the original root of Phremasonry according to Thomas Paine.

    - The most telling evidence of European involvement in North America before Christ might be the 'extinct' or should I say 'immortal' North American horse that I think was like a Shetland Pony because there were no horses or artifacts thereof for the previous 5000 years. Here is an archaeologist of note by the name of Quimby, whose report goes most un-noted:

"1954 The Old Copper Assemblage and Extinct Animals. American Antiquity 20: 169-170. Quimby analyses an occurrence of deeply buried copper artifacts and associated animal bones near Fort Williams in southwest Ontario. The discovery, made in 1913 and 1916, was recorded in a geological report. Quimby reasons that the site may date to the Altithermal, approximately 3500-2000 B.C., and that the bones are those of the bison and the extinct native horse."

CHAPTER SEVEN: Copper Making Secrets and Speculations About Crystalline or Stone Age Knowledge.

    - I can show the reason for red ochre on Mungo Man's skeleton (and many other cultures around the world) is possibly connected to the alchemical (shamanic) use of cinnabar. This was adequate payment for the Beothuk who were in the northern Hudson Bay route for copper when the earth had not yet rebounded much from the glaciers retreat before moving with their Keltic family to L'anse Amour around the 6th Millennium B.C.
    - Here is something spiritual about the 'immortal' element of mercury to consider. "Cinnabar will become mercury, and passing through a series of other sublimations, it is again turned into cinnabar, and thus it enables man to enjoy eternal life." This is from J. Bronowski's book and TV documentary produced by the BBC called The Ascent of Man.

CHAPTER EIGHT: Pre-Columbian and Post-Christian Americans from Europe.

    - In Tucson we have on-going digs of irrigation canals and a civilization from 2000 BC but in the 1920s another more recent 'find' was made. It was by the top people in the science and handled in the appropriate manner but met a cover up to equal what happened at Manitoulin Island. Here is a little about this story from Ancient American. "Translation of the combined Latin text told a surprising story: 'In Memoriam Romani Actius: In memory of Romans Actius and Theodore, Consuls of great cities. We are carried forward on the sea (to) Calalus, {The site of present day Ocala in Florida, the name was taken from the Latin name of Porto Cale, Portugal. These Jews now meet the Toltecs and a man from the city of Rhodes - which was a key enduring fortification of the Keltic Phoenicians past the time of Posidonius who thought highly of them.} an unknown land (and) a people ruling wildly (Indians?). Toltezus (and) Silvanus are won over, Theodorus brings his forces from the city, Rhoda. And more than 700 are captured. No gold. They are (or shall be) banished from the city.
    - {The metal tablets decipherment continues.}Theodorus, a man of the greatest valor, rules during 14 years. Iacobus rules during (after Theodorus) six years. God helping it (?) is not to be feared. In the name of Israel, Iacobus born again (in) the city.... Benjamin was king of the people. He came from Seine to Rome, the bravest of the Gauls..." The Benjaminites are central players in the intrigues of New World Order that are throughout history.

CHAPTER NINE: Debunkers and the Flat Earth Fiction.

    - The web brings me the words of Theosophist scholars who add an important observation about the propaganda Rome used to gain ever greater control of this world. Rome as an Empire expanded whenever the people of Rome were dispossessed of booty from the evil wrought by their leaders.
"Jewish scholars had already proved the similarity between the Laws of Moses and the philosophies of Plato, Aristotle and Pythagoras. Christians claimed that Jesus was a unique character, while the entire pagan world knew that the legends surrounding Jesus' life were identical with those of pagan gods. Students of comparative religion recognized their similarity to the traditions of great spiritual Teachers who had preceded Jesus."

CHAPTER TEN: Manitoulin Island and Mooring Stones.

    - "The site's discoverer (Lee) was hounded from his Civil Service position into prolonged unemployment; publication outlets were cut off, the evidence was misrepresented by several prominent authors among the Brahmins; the tons of artifacts vanished into storage bins of the National Museum of Canada; for refusing to fire the discoverer the Director of the National Museum (Dr. Jacques Rousseau), who had proposed having a monograph on the site published, was himself fired and driven into exile; official positions of prestige and power were exercised in an effort to gain control over just six Sheguiandah {They dated it to more than 100,000 years ago.}specimens that had not gone under cover; and the site itself has been turned into a tourist resort." It has actually been built upon by a tourist campsite, just as the Kennewick Man site was covered over and pylons and trees sunk upon it the day before a congressional Bill was to take effect to protect it.
    - Professor Emeritus James Scherz of the University of Wisconsin says: "More likely than not, they were but one of numerous peoples from around the world who were attracted to the copper riches found in the Upper Great Lakes Region of ancient America."

David Kelley is the Professor Emeritus of the University of Alberta at Calgary (or was) and he supported Fell in many ways. He documented that an early form of Ogham he calls Tiffinaugh was what is found at Peterborough Ontario (where someone has allowed some engravings to be destroyed) and show Phoenician or Viking looking craft dated to 3500 BCE (the etchings). He is also a key figure in the breaking of the Mayan Code.

CHAPTER ELEVEN: Easter Island and New Zealand Kelts Before History.

    - From respected scholars in India who have succeeded in decoding the Ilavarta language that is similar to the Rongorongo on Easter Island we have:
"On this point it is worth noting that the account of ancient Indian history found in most textbooks is completely wrong. They make the Harappan Civilization pre-Vedic while the latest research shows it to be the other way. In fact, it belongs to the closing centuries of the Vedic Age. The idea that India was invaded by 'Indo-European' Aryans who destroyed the Harappan or Indus Valley Civilization and then composed the Vedas has been thoroughly discredited. The language of the Harappans is Vedic Sanskrit and their civilization was Vedic. This was known even before the script was deciphered. There are Vedic symbols all over the place at archaeological sites - like Vedic altars, the Swastika symbol and the 'OM' sign among others. The 'Aryan invasion' and the 'Aryan-Dravidian wars' were created by European colonial and missionary scholars, to serve their own interests."
CHAPTER TWELVE: Yonaguni and the Kensington Runestone.

    - "Dear Mr. Collins: I am a high school world history teacher, Cuban born and Princeton educated. With great interest I have been reading about Atlantis and I am concerned about a great many things from a historical perspective. Please let me share these with you. First, I have no delusions that, as a Cuban I am related to any Atlantean peoples - they were gone long before I arrived on the Earth. Second, I have a strong suspicion that when we find Atlantis, where you say it is, our world will never be the same. Our notions of what is and what was will be changed forever. Our theories about time and the existence of civilizations predating Greece and Rome will send shock waves that will reverberate through out the known world."
